Hotel Xa´an Bacalar

I really enjoyed the common area, as it looked brand new and was trendy and comfy.

The shower did not have a good water pressure.

Very large room and a huge, super comfortable bed. Cute sitting area upstairs and a nice pool. Accommodation in Bacalar is expensive so this is one of the best values you can get. Very friendly staff as well! It’s a 10 minute walk to the city centre but that’s all fine.

The shower just didn’t work properly, the water was coming out in all different directions which made it hard to take a proper shower. We’ve asked to fix it but there was a problem with the pipes which couldn’t be fixed in the weekend (when we were there).

Nice and comfortable (big) room, with a good bathroom and great bed. The hammocks in the common area are wonderful. Breakfast is very sober but it was not advertised as breakfast included so as an extra its nice, plus the coffee was really nice. Would recommend this place.

Too bad you can't take some water to fill up, nor is there water with breakfast. It's a good 10 minutes walk to the center but that's not too bad.

evrything was fine, we Was happy to spend a lovely time here. Nice tarrace, walking distance to the center and quiet neighborhood. Very helpful staff, they helped with laundry and with all our needs. I Reccomend this place :)

breakfast could be a bit better and more varied, but it's nice that there is something. Everything they offered was always fresh and good quality, so there is nothing to complain about

The best staff. Really nice and helpful Not good breakfast. It can be better and still simple. The for kids. So there is something if you don’t drink coffee! And please wash with warm water the dishes. If someone is sick all get it!:(

Only the breakfast

Check in was friendly and the rooms were pleasant. The breakfast was basic but nice (coffee, fruit and cereal). Nice bikes to hire and a very relaxing mezanine with multiple hammocks.

There was no 'mood lighting' in the bedrooms, only the very bright overhead lights. Poor wifi in Room 1.

Location was in a banana grove in a quiet street. Accommodation was very simple, no cupboard or storage facility for clothes in room apart from a rail and a few hangers so everything was put on the floor.It is in a charming setting with a cute pool and garden and nice roof top area with hammocks and chairs and tables and communal fridge where a simple breakfast was available. Overall a simple, delightful quiet atmosphere. Also had free access to the sister hotel Tropic Beach Club right by the lagoon which was absolutely superb, we spent two days there.
