Hotel Xa´an Bacalar

Amazing place, super nice room and very clean. The staff was very resourceful and friendly.

Air cond was a bit dysfunctional, but I guess this can be fixed....

Good value for money ...though you may want to get a bike to get around it you don't like walking as it's a bit far from the center ( though Bacalar is small). Staff was responsive & friendly

All was clean and spottles, bed was comfortable, tv and AV works as they soppose, spcious room, pool.

Quite a walk to the center or to further beaches, but other than that it's a really nice hotel with well mainted facilities.

Nice terasse, pool, AC was good.

Location a bit far to walk (but we knew that before). No warm water, which should be available for this price.

It’s a quite place, since it’s a little bit out of the center.

Everything Was perfect

The staff and that there was free coffee available all day long. My hair dryer had broken and one of the reception staff was nice enough to offer me her own personal hairdryer for the duration of our five night stay. We enjoyed that we got free access at Tropic ( a hotel by the Laguna that they work with). The swimming pool was clean although we didn’t get a chance to use it.

The bed was very hard and all of us were unable to get a good night sleep. The pillows were very thin and no extra pillows available (we managed to get some by the 3rd night but after asking for them daily). The shower pressure is terrible and water goes everywhere but on you. The towels were in terrible condition too (we got two towels that looked cut in half and were both too small to attempt to wrap around ourselves).

Cute little hotel, with a nice hangout area where they also serve a very small breakfast (cereal with milk and coffee). The hotel offers parking in front of the property but overall Bacalar was a very safe city so also normal street parking is ok. We stayed here initially for 2 nights, but ended up extending one more. Also, we ended up returning after a few days as we were passing through. Our first stay everything was nice. A very large, comfortable bed, all necessities in the room when we checked in, room in overall much better condition. On our second stay, the room was extremely disappointing. The bed was a lot smaller (140cm vs the previous 200cm bed), the bathroom door was extremely squeaky to the point of waking a heavy sleeper is used during the night, there were no towels or toilets paper in the room so we had to have a few trips to the reception. Overall, it seems that rooms vary a lot and with them the quality of the stay.

The rooms very too much, first stay was great second was very disappointing. The attendant don’t really speak English Internet is very weak (difficult to hold a voice call)
