Hotel Qoya Palace - Machupicchu

Close to train/bus but room is basic: 1 towel, no outlet by bed, rough toilet paper, small counter in bathroom, water not hot enough. Good price though

It was fine. The hotel has thin walls so you can hear noise and the hot water wasn’t very hot at all. It’s a greater distance from the train station but that gave us the opportunity to explore areas that aren’t as crowded. The best part of the hotel is the observation room at breakfast!

Clean modern good reasonable location

No air-conditioning no heating no fan no hair drier no phone very pokey room tiny bathroom no towel rails poor cheap sachets of shampoo no hand towels little service. Worst breakfast minimal everything little choice poor quality our first breakfast we arrived to no plates coffee glasses juice fruit ham , empty hot Bain Marie and no staff. I had to go down to reception to get staff to attend

somewhat noisy in hallway and stairwell. breakfast had little to no fruit. clean dishes were not available. dispensers of liquids were not labeled. scrambled eggs were runny. the front desk is not covered adequately. i had to wait 20 minutes to check out, and she took awhile to find my ticket. no screens in windows with insect presence made for 2 warm nights.

Location was fine. Breakfast room is nice with views of mountains. Breakfast was fine.

Room smelled very musty. I was thankful to only be there one night. Towels were crusty and rough. There was a dirty towel from a previous guest in the wardrobe. We arrived about 11:30 and just wanted to leave our larger backpacks in storage while we went to machu picchu. Check in is at 12 so we did not expect to be able to check in but no one was at the front desk. After waiting quite a while I climbed the stairs and found someone cleaning a room to ask if we could store our backpacks. They called someone and then we could store our backpacks. They didn’t tag the bags and the door was still wide open when we left. I guess they are understaffed but it was not great service.

Staff was wonderful, it’s a friendly atmosphere. There were not many guests when we stayed there, so everything was quiet. If you’ve never been to Machu Picchu Pueblo, you’ll probably expect this hotel to be more spacious according to pictures and you’ll be surprised with the surroundings, but everything is like that on MP Pueblo, it has its charm. Breakfast was humble, but the gentleman who served us made us the eggs as we like.

The room is small and the bathroom tiny. Also, room view was not really pleasant, featuring lots of buildings without facades, but that’s MP Pueblo style…
