Shandon Hotel

I think your experience here will depend on your room. I had an en suite which had a decent shower but otherwise the rooms are as people describe: not very clean, really outdated and with a weird 70s holiday park vibe. It's stuff that could be easily fixed if care was taken - a missing bulb in the desk lamp, out of date milk and missing teabags, general grottiness. The bed was firm but not uncomfortable, though the windows keep out zero noise so bring earplugs. Friendly staff on reception but the whole place needs investing in the basics of how to run a hotel.

It was the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at, bar none . The windows didn’t even have handles on them

Everything , it was a shocking place , building site noise , road traffic , no window handles to close it

Car parking space was not large especially with the skip in there. Even without the skip you could only probably fit 5 cars at mist
