Little apt bungalows nestled next to water access and close to many food options. Pickleball court was a nice add on.

Quaintly secluded from the road, only heard the sound of the waves and water. Room was nicely decorated and very clean. The studio provided everything you needed. Great value with plenty of recreational options, swimming, kayaking or snorkeling. Easy check in, very friend and helpful.

We stayed five nights at Kona Kai in the Breadfruit bungalow and had a wonderfully serene and quiet experience. The property feels peaceful and unrushed—perfect for truly relaxing and disconnecting. One of the highlights was a lovely yoga lesson on the beach with Lacey Devin. Practicing yoga with the water and palm trees as a backdrop was both calming and memorable. The staff were consistently helpful and welcoming. Katherine at the front desk offered excellent suggestions for local food, which we really appreciated and enjoyed throughout our stay. We also loved that kayaks and canoes were included—such a great way to explore the water at a leisurely pace without extra planning or cost. Overall, Kona Kai was deeply relaxing, low-key, and restorative. We would absolutely return and highly recommend it for anyone looking for a peaceful Key Largo getaway.

This is a beautiful & quaint adult only resort that is intimate in its size. There are nicely appointed comfortable cabins dispersed throughout lush and beautiful Florida foliage. The pool was heated nicely and Jacuzzi was a perfect temperature. There are numerous chaise lounges about for couples to recline in with a glass of wine and enjoy the sunset, or coffee and the morning sunrise There is a small beach area to utilize paddle boards or kayaks. Also, there are a few hammocks and games to enjoy. If you are looking to rest, rejuvenate, & connect with your loved one, this is the perfect place! Everyone that works there could not have been more accommodating and nice. Wonderful people!

My wife and I kicked off the New Year with a trip to the Florida Keys, and our first stop was the Kona Kai Resort in Key Largo—an off-the-beaten-path gem that was exactly what we were hoping for. Tucked away from the crowds, the property is quiet, beautiful, and very well maintained, making it easy to truly relax and enjoy the laid-back Keys vibe. There are plenty of thoughtful amenities, including a pickleball court, swimming pool, sandy beach area, lagoon, and a dock with lounge chairs that felt more private than touristy. We also enjoyed the on-site art gallery featuring local artists, which added to the resort’s unique charm. Our room was clean, comfortable, and well equipped with a light beachy feel. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and always happy to help. We really enjoyed our stay and would happily recommend this hidden, low-key spot to anyone looking to escape the crowds in Key Largo.

The reviews have all been spot-on. This property was an amazing find in Key Largo. Friendly and helpful staff: from greeting to check out and along the way! House keepers and grounds crew attentive. We stayed in mango, with a comfy king size bed and great shower … steps to everything!! The sand, dock, kayaks/ paddle boards and all the play options: pickleball, shuffle board, ping pong, corn hole and the beautiful pool and hot tub. All free and open access. Nice chair and table options both in sun and shade. We had a takeout dinner under the stars- amazing!! Sunsets: wow! Ample parking. Great eats and recommendations for activities. Would highly recommend and stay again in a moment!
