Kona Kai Resort and Gallery

Kona Kai is the perfect spot for a relaxing couples’ getaway. We appreciated the kindness and helpfulness of staff whenever we had a question or needed anything. Also really appreciated the pages of recommended restaurants and local places of interest.Everything in Key Largo within 15 minutes either way. Wish we could have stayed longer. Bungalows are well equipped and grills available if wanting to eat in. Beautiful sunset spot.

This place is so quaint and beautiful. The cottages feel like they’re tucked away in a jungle, and in just a few steps you will reach a beautiful sandy area overlooking the water. Beautiful views, relaxing, great amenities like kayaks, pool, hot tub, lounge chairs, and hammocks. Our favorite part was soaking up the sun and enjoying all the flora and fauna surrounding the property. You can walk across the street to restaurants. Parking is convenient and plentiful. The cottage was the perfect size for two people.

Shower could have been a bit cleaner, couch was very worn.

After spending 5 nights in a not so great resort in Marathon we checked out a day early to get closer to the airport. We checked out a few resorts and stumbled upon Kona Kai. Walked into the office with no reservations and were greeted by a lovely desk clerk. They had rooms and she also upgraded us to, what I considered, the best room on the property. What a delightful experience and a gorgeous boutique resort/ botanical garden! Another plus: no pets, no children.

We had such a nice stay, perfect sunset spot, morning kayak with the calm, clear water and our room was precious! The restaurant suggestion list was excellent too! We loved the quaint, laid back feeling of the place!

From the pool and hot tub, the dock and chairs and tables throughout to enjoy the property to the ping pong table, kayaks, paddle boards.... The little touches were greatly appreciated. Plus just walking around the 13 little cottages and all the wonderful plants to be admired. I have so many ideas now from my backyard. Rooms were just perfect for a couple. Kathy was a world of help and a great resource for Kona Kai!

A very special place. With a very laid-back vibe, amazing sunsets, kayaking, and excellent food nearby. We will be back.

Kona Kai was an exceptional place to celebrate our 25th anniversary. We stayed in the fig suite and loved that it was connected to the pool and spa. The Sunsets are breathtaking. Hopefully we'll get to visit again.

Very cool place. Lush plants all over, very cozy cottages. Nice pool n hot tub. Cool amenities for water activities. Very friendly staff.
