The Oak & Anchor Hotel

The room is lovely. The bed is comfortable & everything we needed was provided.

I didn’t like the fact that the toilet was part of the open plan room. There are some things that just need to be private!

Bathroom including toilet all part of the bedroom with the toilet separated from the bed by nothing more than a rattan screen, which we really did not like.

Could not stand having the toilet in the bedroom. No air lock and no lighting restriction in the room which meant if you went to the toilet at night, the entire bedroom was lite up. A really bad design and unhygenic.

The staff at the hotel were amazing! Both the ladies tha served us on the Friday night could not be anymore accommodating and friendly. They made us feel like we were old friends reuniting. Beautiful friendly girls.

The layout of the rooms is interesting. We stayed as two female friends and used to sharing a bed but the lack of privacy in the bathrooms was too much. Privacy screens need to be installed.

Taps were annoying The open WC and bathroom is not something i like generally. Tiles where slippery once water from show was turned on…

Beautiful property: we liked reading about its history. It feels like a very personal project of love. We also loved the restaurant, where we met a lovely Australian couple with whom we became fast friends, and the delicious breakfast at a local coffee spot. Very highly recommended!

The door-less bathroom trend is fortunately out in California and we hope this wonderful place can adopt something more permanent than a rattan screen

Everything was luxurious and comfortable. Food was absolutely delicious

The property and facilities are fantastic and can only be improved by a coffee machine and ironing facilities in the room
