Casa Cleo by Viadora

Don’t hesitate to book this one! I did my hotel research on a few platforms and finally landed on Casa Cleo. It’s an absolutely beautiful boutique hotel, well-manicured, beautifully designed and laid out, super clean, very spacious rooms with beautiful high-end fittings and huge comfortable beds and very quiet as it’s tucked away in the leafy, hip but unpretentious Condesa residential neighbourhood. (Roma Norte is a bit too bustling and Polanco felt too guarded with not many affordable eating options). We were a family of 4, including two teenagers so the 1 standard room for them and the 1 larger suite for my husband and I was just perfect. Amenities-wise, the hotel has a fully- stocked kitchen but we never felt the need to cook given all the local restaurants. There are more than enough good and well-priced restaurants and coffee shops with Mexican and non- Mexican options. Highly recommend the Casa Bruna coffee shop around the corner with wonderful pastries (including delicious buttery cruffins) and curious delicacies such as chili- flavoured gummy bears and dried grasshoppers with sea salt which were quite tasty). Especially lovely was the privacy the hotel afforded, we knew there were other guests but we never saw them and always managed to enjoy the beautiful rooftop terrace on our own at breakfast and in the afternoon. There is a small workout area with weights (but no machines), and do bring your swimmers as there is a sister hotel with a lap-length rooftop pool you can use for an additional fee of 10 USD. We wished we brought our swimmers but didn't know about this beforehand as it wasn’t advertised online when we booked. Importantly, we always felt safe and sound at night. The security is very good at the hotel (not that it’s needed as it’s a very safe residential neighbourhood) but it’s discreet and not so over-the-top that you worry something is awry. Breakfast was nice - high quality and tasty yogurt cups with granola and fruit, sourdough bread with jam and a few pastries with coffee and choice of non-dairy milk. If the hotel reads this I would recommend making some butter available for the toast and some juice. Finally, huge shout out to Daniel, our concierge extraordinaire. Very pleasant and knowledgable about local dining options and helped us with some tour options. Very quick and responsive on WhatsApp also. Thank you for making us feel so welcome, Daniel! The doormen were also very sweet :). The next time we visit CDMX we will return.

Casa Cleo is an excellent area Clair to Mexico park and lots of cafes and very clean and safe. The staff is very attentive and Yahel the front desk manager very good and helpful in getting reservations and just able to give good information. We would highly recommend any traveller to stay. The rooms are suites with separate living room and small kitchen great for longer term stays. Very clean as good or better than most top hotels.

We had such a wonderful time at Casa Chloe. The place is truly high end boutique hotel located in a prime area of cdmx. The staff was wonderful! Alfredo, the guard, made us feel at home and safe. Yanel, who checked us in was so charismatic and willing to help us with restaurant reservations. Daniel and Adrian were also very friendly, helpful and professional.

Great place to stay, close to restaurants and parks. One of the best hotel experiences of my life (and I'm 80 and have traveled the world). The doorman (his name was Martin I think but I could be wrong) went to bat for us when a taxi tried to overcharge us and argued him down, was really exceptional.

The accommodations, location and staff were all wonderful. We were extremely happy with our stay and would definitely stay at Casa Cleo again.

Casa Cleo is in a beautiful building with gorgeous details at the lobby level. The rooms were stylishly decorated and spotless. The beds were super comfortable. The staff (Daniel, Mariana, a young man at the front desk whose name we regrettably forgot , and Carlos, Alfredo were all very friendly and helpful; a special thanks to Daniel who made sure we had all we needed for an excellent stay). The complimentary breakfast was good and healthy. The location was convenient, within walking distance to a lot of restaurants and stores in Condesa.
