Casa Cleo by Viadora

Our second visit here and absolutely fantastic. Rooms are huge, clean, quiet, well appointed, tons of nice touches, beautiful patios, comfortable beds. Front desk staff Mariana helped us when we missed a flight and arranged a car service and special treat for me. Excellent service, can't wait to come back. Every single detail is outstanding, and the staff couldn't be nicer.

Our recent stay at Casa Cleo was perfect in every way. This little gem of a hotel is located in a neighborhood of tree-lined streets with plenty of great restaurants within walking distance. The staff was friendly and helpful and everything was truly impeccable. We highly recommend!

This is a beautiful apartment hotel. We had a fairly large room with nice interior design. There isn’t a lot of folks providing service here, which is fine as I typically don’t use concierge services. Our room was on the second floor floor which was noisy in the morning when the patio was being set up for breakfast as they dragged the chair around. The breakfast was just some toast and jam. Not even really a continental breakfast. The location is great and it’s easy to get Ubers from the location. Overall not bad.

At first sight this hotel looks perfect--beautiful, serene, good neighborhood--but take my advice: Don't stay there. The rooms are beautiful and comfortable, the service atrocious. Cleo serves the most limited breakfast I've ever heard of: rolls and rather bad coffee (no decaf) from 8 to 9, with the server often being late. If you need a car, use Uber, not the hotel service--we were going to a famous restaurant nearby that he couldn't find & he argued with us about paying cash. With the exception of one person, the front desk had no idea what to shops or restaurants to recommend or where anything is (sort of a 15-minute Google search). When there was a leak that was thought to go through my room, no one called--two men showed up pounding on my door. (There's no peephole in the door so you can't look out). Our instinct was that no personnel had been trained--the hotel just hires cute kids and hopes for the best.

great location and service

What a lovely boutique hotel! The wonderful people at Casa Cleo made me and my family feel like we had a home away from home. It’s a small hotel in a charming neighborhood, with many restaurants and shops within a 10 minute walk, as well as Parque Mexico which is nice for kids. From the moment we arrived the staff were waiting for us at the gate and quickly had us taken care of. The staff were helpful, kind and went out of their way to make us feel safe and welcome. All of our needs were met. The rooms were nice, comfy and spacious(my daughter loved the vintage records). The rooftop breakfast is a small spread of breads, yogurt, fruit and Mexican coffee, which is convenient when on the go. There is always a doorman on sight who are friendly and attentive, and always made a point to make my daughter smile, always made sure we safely got to our Uber and even vetted or tour driver on occasion. This hotel staff genuinely care about their guests and hospitality really means something here. I’ll definitely choose Casa Cleo when I’m back in Mexico City.

Beautiful decor. Friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable room. The only change I would make is to offer tea in addition to coffee in the morning.
