Susurros del Corazón, Auberge Collection

We had a very mixed experience here during a 4 night stay in February. Let’s start with the bad. We initially booked a Cliffside Studio, which you SHOULD NOT book. It’s dark, not as represented on the website and in the residence area which is very separated from the hotel (see 1st picture). We were switched after complaining to an ocean view studio, which was much better (although you don’t really have an ocean view). Overall though, the rooms feel cheap. Then there’s the food, which is good but egregiously expensive and severely under portioned. I’d say you need to assume you spend at least $1,000 per day for 2 people. And they are so stingy about the food. For example, the room doesn’t come with breakfast but if you book through Amex, you receive a $45 credit per person. But with food pricing and service charges, the $45 gets you two sunny up eggs and a single side. There’s so much nickel and diming. I asked for a piece of toast at breakfast and they wanted to add $12 for it. And I asked for berries on my yogurt and they brought a single blueberry and blackberry (if I wanted more it would cost $30). We had lunch at the beach, and for $230, we got two steak tacos, a poke bowl, and two iced teas. And the wine is even worse. The Italian white wines we bought for $180 cost $19.99 retail. Every glass of white wine was at least $40 after fees (and the bottles they came from cost $15). Overall, the value you receive is really not great. Then there’s the spa, which was extremely disappointing. I booked a massage ($250 for 50 min). I waited at the reception for 15 min and was brought to a hotel room on the other side of the property, in which the masseuse covered the hotel room TV with a towel and used music from her phone. I was later told this was because of the residences construction near the spa treatment room. Again, something that should’ve been told to us before booking. On top of all of this, we paid for the room in full prior to arriving through our Amex booking. A few days later, the hotel charged us for 50% of the stay again with no email or communication whatsoever. The positives of the hotel were definitely (1) the setting, with a really pretty beach and pool area, (2) the grounds, which were well maintained and (3) the service. The room manager, Vanessa, was also very nice and helpful. But I expected so much more from the hotel at the price point and feel like there’s better value for your money at places in Mexico like One&Only Mandarina 30 min away.

We had an amazing experience at Susurros. Our room had the best view of the ocean. Our room was large and clean. The staff was excellent. The pool was lovely and the food was top notch. My massage was wonderful. We enjoyed walking the beach every morning and spending some time in the spa doing the cold plunge and sauna. Due to construction by the spa it was a little noisy. Also do to construction the massage was in a resort room. I thought maybe it would be weird but it was actually very nice. We did note there didn't seem to be much alcohol in the mixed drinks which was a little annoying because they were expensive, but they were all delicious. Everything we ate was absolutely delicious and FRESH!

We needed a sunny & warm winter get-away and Susurros del Corazon was the perfect place. The rooms were amazing and the setting was peaceful; a perfect reset. We were blown away by the staff and their attention to detail. Not to mention, the food & beverages were excellent. We would highly recommend Suserros and we will defintely be back.

EXCELLENT HOTEL STAFFED BY EXCELLENT PEOPLE. The location is simply incredible. We saw whales breaching while we sipped cocktails at one of the hotels pools (there are at leat 3)....It's immaculate and the food is wonderful. WE WILL RETURN!

We have stayed at Susurros twice in 2025. It was our first Auberge property, and we stayed solely due to their affiliation with AMEX. Both stays were good, but our second stay (in December) left us amazed by the team. It goes without saying the property is lovely. The gardens are well maintained, the grounds are thoughtfully designed, the gym was excellent and the rooms are spacious and flowing. The staff are what made this property special. From our greeting by Nati and the team, to the cuates taking care of our requests (especially Anna and Ricky). The breakfast team took care of our allergies and were very hospitable, so thank you to Adolfo, Noe and Alexa. Juan was also great in the restaurants, and Miguel provided an excellent tequila tasting in our June stay. The beach front dinner was a stand out, with excellent food, service and sunset! We loved staying at your property and will continue to rave about it to our friends and colleagues. Thank you, familia.

The property was beautiful and the staff were friendly, but overall the experience does not match up to luxury resorts in Asia. Issues we encountered - our cuante entered my phone number incorrectly into the system so I wasn’t receiving any messages, my dad was ignored at breakfast for over twenty minutes and had to flag a server, the beach didn’t have a lifeguard at all, there were only two restaurants on site and the food was definitely not on par with Guadalajara or Mexico City. Sometimes it was just a general lack of attention to detail. Positives include - the rooms were very comfortable and the amenities were nice, the views and sunsets we saw were beautiful, the pool was clean and not too crowded, and the spa was wonderful (the masseuses were very skilled).

I highly recommend this resort. Customer service, location, food, friendliness, rooms, etc. It was an awesome experience.

We stayed here for two weeks when it first opened. Just returned and had a wonderful dinner with a large group. The resort has filled in with residences and the landscape has matured and is impeccable. Service is as good as it gets. Our meal was the best of our trip (staying elsewhere) and we enjoyed revisiting the property. If you want a small self contained but impeccable property stay here. For a bit more activities and action stay at the Four Seasons.

A very special place. You will feel like family here and not just a guest. Everything is thought of and it is all so easy. Nothing is a problem. It is the perfect sized resort. Private and quiet. No lazy rivers or water slides here! Upscale guests looking for a certain level of sophistication and class in their vacation. It is worth the (hefty) cost. It is a very special place and we will return. The staff was AMAZING!!
