Very cool place

Perfect place for a solo traveler, esp women! Easy touchless check-in! Michaela was super helpful. Public spaces & room decor were beautiful, not typical. Especially loved the “flower” for privacy/cleaning options. And the location can not be beat!

Absolutely beautiful old fashioned hotel. Lovely room with all the amenities. Comfortable lobby with drinks and snacks. Excellent location for walking all around historic Portsmouth! My only problem was I have a sesativity to perfumes/fabric softness and the sheets and rugs smelled very floral. But, I would definitely stay there again!

Stylish and clean! This is our second stay at the Hotel Thaxter and we definitely will return. Such a convenient place to stay to see a show at the Music Hall, visit the shops, or dine in one of the many restaurants in Portsmouth.
