Barnes Fell Apartments

The host was lovely and very welcoming, property was lovely and clean with great views and facilities. Great location for the town centre and local walks.

Barnes Fell was a lovely 1 bedroom en suite apartment with living room and kitchenette, provided with everything we needed for a short (or longer) stay. Ethna was wonderfully welcoming, friendly, and accommodating before and throughout our stay. We had a brilliant long weekend. I cannot fault Barnes Fell and would happily recommend it.

The host was very friendly and extremely quick to respond to any questions I had! She also provided great tips on places to visit in Ambleside and the lake District! The hotel is in a great location, only two minutes from the centre of Ambleside! There are lots of walks that can be started from the hotel, but it was also only a 5 minute walk to the bus stop for anything a bit further away. The room and bathroom were very clean - and the shower was great, especially after a day of walking! I would stay here again!

Gorgeous location with everything you need on your doorstep, incredible views. Lovely, welcoming host who can answer all your questions and offer recommendations about the local area. The apartment was equipped with everything we could have possibly needed to have a lovely stay and is finished to a very high standard. The bed is super comfy too.

The location was fabulous as were the views. Very cosy and comfortably living space. Town and shops were in walking distance with everything you needed on ur door step. Land lady Ethna was very hospitable, could be contacted at any time. A very pleasant experience for a first visit to the lake district. We had to leave at 6am to attend family commitments on the last day, the landlady Ethna was up to see us off, which was such a pleasant experience.

There was nothing negative about this accommodation and host. So hospitable, pleaseant and accommadating.

Lovely room.overlooking the pretty garden at the back. Bed was super comfortable. Everything was immaculately clean. Great shower. The hosts were lovely. They helped me find on-street parking nearby on the first evening by offering to move their own car and when one of the apartments became empty later in my stay they let me use the allocated parking space for that.

It would have been nice to have a mini fridge for the milk given breakfast isn't part of the package.
