Shehab from rosebud, the Irish bar makes the best cocktails and is the friendliest staff member of the whole hotel! Fantastic experience all around! Definitely recommend!

We had a fabulous week here. Main building superior double room was spacious, spotlessly clean and close to most things. Mini bar was full of waters..sodas..milk and beers. A selection of coffee and teas also. Food was delicious, varied and again everything was spotless. We did 2 A la cartes..Indian & the Turkish , again service and food was good but we did feel a little rushed but that was a.minor thing. Staff are such an asset to this hotel whether you tipped or not, always smiling and happy to help. We had one small problem with our water going off in our room.. within 10 mins of a call to reception an engineer was on his way and it was resolved quickly. Plenty of walks from the hotel along the beach in the Makadi Bay Area. Lots of nationalities and a nice laid back relaxing atmosphere but I think the beach area was more livelier. Very good value for money.

Fantastic hotel, very friendly people. Always very helpful, Animation is amazing with a lot of activities. Food and service excellent. Do not hassle to come here in this paradise .

Well as the title suggests,I have been to this wonderful hotel a few times and aim to be back in March 2026. As soon as you come into this hotel you can feel the class ooze as you look around the spacious and modern reception. Booking in was a breeze and we were in our room as soon as we finished our welcome drink. The guest relation team led by Gulnaz were a dream to deal with ,they are so helpful and friendly. Our experience in the French alacarte was excellent too as Nour Kandeel took us to our booked table and looked after our needs throughout the meal. Nour is very attentive and is great asset to this wonderful hotel. When we used the buffet Mohammed Aboelazm was always on hand with a welcome and smile as he looked after us there no matter if it was breakfast,lunch or main meal, another great member of the team at Xanadu. At the main pool area Mohamed Mahrous ensured that our daily refreshments were always fresh and cold , again great service. I can never recommend this hotel enough and thought it couldn't be better , but the added New Xanadu club has added a little bit of pizzazz to it. We can't wait to go back to my second home in March, see you all soon.

We have just spent a fabulous two weeks holiday in Xanadu. It has exceptional staff throughout the hotel. The hotel is set in large beautifully manicured gardens on the shores of the Red Sea with a very clean large beach with every facility you could want and safe crystal clear waters for swimming supervised by lifeguards. Rooms are large and very modern. Our swim up room was pure luxury and had a very friendly room attendant. The main hotel restaurant had a very large choice of food which varied every day and was of a high standard. The Al a Carte restaurants were all exceptional. Our favourites were the Italian with the ever smiling Hamby and his efficient staff and the French with the best fillet steak ever. The whole complex is immaculately clean. All in all this is a fabulously place to spend a holiday only 30 minutes from the airport, whether for adults ar families if you are looking for 5 star this is the best. We will return.

Overall, the hotel left a very positive impression. Xanadu Makadi Bay is a quiet, comfortable hotel, perfect for a family vacation. The grounds are well-maintained, and the atmosphere is quiet and relaxing. The food at the hotel is delicious and varied. However, during our stay, there was a large influx of Chinese tourists, which meant that the restaurants often ran out of food very quickly. We also observed several instances of unsanitary conditions, with some guests taking food from shared plates with their hands, and unfortunately, the staff did nothing to address this. We would have liked stricter enforcement in such situations. The weather was a bit cool, but for us this was a plus, as my husband doesn't tolerate extreme heat well. Unfortunately, the adult entertainment seemed weak. The games and activities were rather boring and repetitive, lacking the energy and spark that truly engages guests. The children's entertainment was generally good – most of the girls were polite, friendly, and interacted well with the children. However, there were a few unpleasant moments I'd like to mention. We arrived as a family from Romania, and my husband and I communicate primarily in English. But I can und and speak Russian When we arrived at the mini-club, we were greeted by a very nice girl at the reception, who explained everything in detail and in a friendly manner in English. However, there was another employee nearby in a similar uniform (I think her name was Elvira, but I'm not sure), and it was extremely unpleasant when she began commenting on our family in Russian, thinking I didn't understand her. I also got the impression that this employee's attitude toward foreign guests was negative: she mostly communicated only in Russian, despite the fact that the hotel has a large number of foreigners. This significantly spoiled the overall impression of the kids' club. Furthermore, we observed that she sometimes spoke quite rudely to the children, which is unacceptable for a family hotel of this level. We'd also like to point out that we really enjoyed the mini-disco and evening shows for adults—they were vibrant, engaging, and created a pleasant, relaxing atmosphere. Overall, the hotel is excellent, with great potential, and we hope management will address these issues and improve the quality of service.

This will not sound like an ordinary review.... Although, I hope it will touch your heart. Arabic scented sticks perfume....serene slight waterlike sounds....peaceful atmosphere...joy and friendly...gentle smile... An authentic state of Being.
