Xanadu Makadi Bay - High Class All Inclusive

I stayed at Xanadu Makadi Bay expecting a luxury 5-star resort, but it turned out to be one of the most disappointing hotel experiences I’ve ever had. The only positive thing was the beach — everything else fell far below 5-star standards. The hotel is described as newly opened, but the reality is very different. The walls in my room were in bad condition, with cracks and visible damage. The overall property looks worn and poorly maintained. Service quality was extremely poor — most staff seemed indifferent and unconcerned about guests. Cleanliness and attention to detail were lacking everywhere. Even in the restaurant, the food quality was low and some products were mislabeled (for example, what was labeled as “Nutella” was actually a cheap imitation). I contacted the hotel directly with photos, but instead of resolving the issue or offering a fair refund, they only suggested upgrades for a future stay — which makes no sense, as I would never return. This place should not be advertised or priced as a 5-star resort. I strongly advise future travelers to read reviews carefully and choose another hotel if you are looking for real quality and service.

I really liked the hotel, there are a lot of green spaces, swimming pools, and a variety of food. Thank you to the room service staff, there was no sand in the room after cleaning. It was clean and smelled good. We stayed in room 3217

Everything was wonderful: the accommodation, the food, the entertainment, the very cheerful and welcoming staff and the excellent beach.

After a dreadful start to the week being given the wrong room our expectations were certainly not high. But the week was about to be made really special by the boys at the Lagoon bar, the service we received by them all week was spectacular, massive shout out to Mina Mamdouh and Romany Samih who were absolutely amazing all week, the boys alone would be enough to make us return and the cocktails they make are phenomenal, they are an absolute credit to the team.

We are currently staying at Xanadu Makadi Bay, and it’s our third day here - everything has been absolutely amazing so far! 🌴 The hotel is beautiful, the sea is crystal clear and warm, the food is delicious, and the territory is always clean and perfectly maintained. The whole team is very friendly, polite, and hardworking - you can really feel that everyone here wants guests to have the best possible experience. We would also like to thank Ahmed, who cleans our room 1157. He does his work very carefully, quickly, and always with a kind smile. Every day our room looks spotless and fresh - he’s very attentive and polite, and truly makes us feel comfortable and well cared for. 🌸 And we would like to give special thanks to Mohamed from the lobby bar (the one in the photo with us 📸). He is truly an outstanding person - very kind, attentive, and always smiling. He makes the most delicious cocktails 🍸 and it’s always such a pleasure to talk with him. What really impressed us is how pleasant, caring, and professional he is. He always supports a friendly conversation, understands guests perfectly, and even speaks and understands some Russian, which made our chats so warm and easy. 💛 He manages to stay attentive to everyone, keep up great service, and never loses his positive energy - he really knows how to make people feel welcome. One evening my husband asked Mohamed to pour several kinds of whiskey to try. The next day, my husband couldn’t remember which one he liked most - and Mohamed patiently spent time with me trying to figure it out until he remembered exactly which one it was! 😄 That small moment showed how observant, patient, and genuinely thoughtful he is toward every guest. We are very grateful for his kindness, professionalism, and big heart. Mohamed truly deserves recognition from the hotel management - he makes the lobby bar feel like home and creates such a wonderful, welcoming atmosphere every day. 🌺 We’re sure that the rest of our stay will be just as wonderful as these first days! ☀️ Thank you to the entire Xanadu Makadi Bay team for making our vacation so special. Just came back from amazing holidays in Xanadu Makadi Bay Hotel. It was our second time here. I would like to say just: WOW!!! Have been few times in Mexico, Dominicana, many times in Egypt and Turkiye in really great hotels but Xanadu was just TOP. Start with Guest Relation first- such a BIG THANKS to Miss Mariia Antoniuk for making pure miracles for us to have an amazing time here. We had swim up room with amazing seaview and whole hotel. THANK YOU! A'la carte restaurants serving great food, excellent service and providing unbelievable atmosphere there. A BIG THANK also to Mr Nour and his Team in Oriental Restaurant- you're guys THE BEST. Whole hotel staff with bell team, shuttle drivers, waiters and waitress, lifeguards, receptionists are smiling, supportive and always asking how we are and if everything is ok. Hotel is really high class where everything must be and is perfect. Fantastic coffees and cakes in hotel Pattiserie where you can spend time and relax. Best drinks in Lobby bar with amazing service. Very good cleaning services from Hussein 😉👍. Very nice, comfortable and cleaned room. Nice toys on the bed everyday. 😁🍀🥂. Programs in Aphfitteather are amazing. Meals very delicious in restaurant at all. RosePprossecco and mango is very good combination. Room Nr. 3224 😊
