Xanadu Makadi Bay - High Class All Inclusive

We stayed 8nts here and can honestly say it was the best hotel we have stayed at in Hurghada! And we have stayed at a lot. Rooms - really comfortable beds, large bathroom. Nice and clean. We stayed in room 1137. Food - So much choice at all meal times. No one can fault the quality or presentation. Pools - Lots of pools to choose from, all of which are a maximum depth of 125cm. No problem getting a sun lounger at any time of day. Beach - Nice sandy beach with plenty of sun beds. Jetty very close for boat trips. Hotel - First impression was "wow!" Large grounds with well kept gardens. Hotel in general very clean and well designed. Special thanks to all the staff for a fantastic service and to Hashim Lotfy(Executive Assistant Manager)for taking time to chat and make me and my husband feel welcome.

great experience, the hotel is a true 5 stars one, with friendly staff and all you need for an all included services. We stayed in the main hotel, the food is very diverse and all kind of. We did not use the A la carte restaurants (no needed). The beach is beautiful. If you don't want to be bothered you have to go to only adults partition, use the Donotdisturb red flag and just enjoy! I recommend the Lounge for alcohol cocktails. The water is fantastic and on the right side you can swim watching the corals and the life under and beautiful fishes.

Great hotel with reasonable prices for all services you get . The main restaurant has a variety of fresh food and drinks; there are all kinds of soft drinks, and there is imported alcohol. The staff is friendly, and the cleanliness is excellent.

This is the place to be when you want a relaxing holiday, where service is extremely high level! The hotel-staff were surprising us positively in all aspects! We had some misfortune visiting the spa-facilities… Luckily for us, the in-hotel clinic is very good. (Clinica Egypt) Doctor Al Malawany and nurse Taha provided us with excellent care and we are very thankful for their efforts to ensure our wellbeing. Thank you!

It’s really hard to thank so many individuals that make your holiday special when you don’t remember all the names, so all we can say is thank you everyone, from the waiting staff, the bar staff, the chefs just everyone we had a fabulous time, it was our first trip to Egypt and won’t be our last, our room 2103 was very very comfortable and in a great quiet location for us and kept spotlessly clean by our housekeeper Ibrahim Saeid and we very much enjoyed his towel creativity, thanks again for everything and all your help Ibrahim you helped to make our holiday. The food and service in the main Otia restaurant was first class, such an amazing amount of choice on offer The Beach restaurant at lunchtime was also amazing, great service and great food from all the staff and thank you Hamza for all your help. There’s just so many people we met and had time to chat with that really did make our trip so special. We very much appreciated the hospitality at Xanadu and look forward to returning here again soon, we will definitely be back

I was in Egypt for the first time in this extraordinary place in every way. The large room with a superb wiew from the balcony, The buildings with their specific architecture enchant you creating a true paradise in the middle of the arid desert. The garden is well kelt and always green. The sea is like emerald and enchant you with the multitude of fish species and colorful corals. The stuff is very friendly and ready to help you. We will definetely come back.

First room we had was terrible right next to children's play park, BaBa Black sheep old McDonald had a farm ,etc, etc continuous 9 hours a day every day water kettles, non stop screaming. We got moved to a quieter area which was much better but the real Gems of this Hotel are the people working there, they are absolutely brilliant, always smiling and so helpful even when presented with ignorant holiday makers who think they are VIPs (which we heard mentioned a few times) Hamdy who works in the restaurant, Bishoy Yanni who seems to be everywhere, are Stars, but the brightest star in this universe is Mr Ali Afifi a true gem and friend (Habibi) also all the staff at the Lagoon Bar. I would go back there in a heart beat! Benjamin.

An amazing hotel! As a birthday surprise, we were upgraded to a Lagoon Swim Up Apartment — a huge suite with direct pool access in a perfect location, close to everything. The staff were exceptionally kind and helpful, and the food was absolutely delicious. We were pleasantly surprised by the level of hygiene and cleanliness — every few days, the sunbed covers were changed, towels smelled fresh, and the pool water quality was regularly checked. Once, when our child dropped food on the floor in the restaurant and tried to pick it up, a staff member kindly explained that they would take care of it — such attention to detail was impressive! Everything in this hotel is maintained at a very high standard, in every area. Highly recommended! 🌴☀️

We recently stayed at the Xanadu Hotel and overall had a fantastic experience! The staff were excellent — friendly, attentive, and always willing to help. From reception to restaurant service, everyone went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. However, one downside was the spa and excursion staff, who were quite pushy and persistent even after we politely declined their offers. It can actually become uncomfortable at times, especially when spa staff start threading part of your face without asking, which then leaves you feeling like you have no choice but to visit the spa to have the rest of your eyebrows fixed! The food was great, with a wide variety and something to suit everyone’s taste. The bar and restaurant waiting staff were excellent — nothing was ever a bother, and they truly enjoy serving you, often saying “you’re on holiday” as they insist on looking after everything for you. The entertainment and activities were also impressive — there’s always something going on! We especially loved the daily WhatsApp updates, which made it super easy to keep track of what was happening around the resort. The hotel itself is fabulous — huge, spotless, and beautifully maintained. There’s plenty of space to relax, and it really has that “wow” factor when you arrive. Despite the pushy sales pitches from certain staff, we genuinely enjoyed our stay and would definitely return.
