Location and spacious apartment

The basics didn’t work, for luxury prices I’d expect a working tv in the living room, a toaster and dishwasher that worked. There also wasn’t a hair dryer and no contact from the phone or message service to locate it.

Excellent location and downside is no on site car park. A bit noisy during weekend at night but still acceptable. We had a wonderful stay there overall.

Location is good, very central

There was no warning on the property description that there would be deafening music playing in the bar below until 2am. It was so loud, that my friend and I could not hold a conversation in the apartment without shouting. There was no sleep to be had until after 2am when the music stopped, which we were both very unhappy about as we had an early start and a full day planned for the following day. This ruined our holiday. Had I known about this, I would not have booked to stay here. On arrival, I was told I would be having an apartment 'upgrade', which is strange as I was then shown to the apartment I'd actually paid for. When I voiced concerns about there being a bar with music below, I was offered the cheaper apartment upstairs, which I turned down. However, when the music started playing, it was so deafeningly loud, I doubt there would have been much noise difference had I accepted the cheaper apartment above. The apartment has a large balcony which is shared by other apartments on the same level. However, the doors that lead on to the balcony would not lock, and kept being blown open by the wind, leaving us feeling very vulnerable as anyone having access to the other apartments would also be able to gain access to ours, another reason for a disturbed nights sleep. There was an awful smell in the kitchen, which I discovered on day 2 was due to the dishwasher being full of stagnant dirty water, that smelled as if it had been like that for a long time. There was very little in the way of cooking/eating utensils. Although the apartment is nicely decorated, it is in dire need of some TLC - cobwebs, dust and generally not looked after. I was concerned that the entry code for the door of the apartment is the same as the code for the front door leading in from the street.

Stunning decor and ideal location, lovely idea to have a terrace looking over the river. Basic facilitates provided - kettle, iron, bath and rainfall shower, coffee and tea. Would be ideal to stay in for a few days as also has a washing machine and dishwasher, TVs with sky and netflix etc.

We were really unclear on how to check in - ended up going into The Terrace restaurant below to ask and find out that is what we're supposed to do. Could've had a bit more of a thorough clean as tops of some things very dusty - and single glazed windows so a bit chilly and noisy, although we kept heat in by closing the curtains.
