Auld Sweet Olive Bed and Breakfast

Went with my wife to attend a wedding in the French Quarter and could not have had a nicer stay. The grounds and common areas were comfortable and we enjoyed our room. The ASOBnB is in a great neighborhood location and we were able to walk to many places in the French Quarter and the wedding venue itself. Jonell was a wonderful host and helped us out on a couple of requests. The breakfasts were varied and good. If we go back to NOLA we would definitely consider renting there again.

Such a great find! Auld Sweet Olive Bed and Breakfast is in a beautiful, walkable neighborhood—close enough to the French Quarter but far enough to feel peaceful. The pool and hot tub were relaxing after a day of walking. The bed/bedding was very comfortable (we stayed in the Sweet Olive room with a private entrance) and breakfast was a treat each morning. The hosts were so kind and welcoming, which made the stay even better. We’d definitely return!

I loved everything; the property was darling and the staff was accommodating and lovely beyond belief!!!

I wish there was a key pad w/ code to get into the property and main house. I did not mind a key for the houses on the courtyard but using the key at all times was a bit of an annoyance. Another issue was the level of chlorination in the hot tub; it tarnished silver and changed the color of suits right away!

The property was charming throughout. It was amazingly well kept and clean, from the rooms to the common areas. The pool area was a refreshing oasis. The service was outstanding as well. Jonell, the endearing innkeeper was the perfect fit for this warm and welcoming place. To top it off, this was an incredible value in a location that was just right, with many attractions within walking distance and others very accessible via public transportation.

Auld Sweet Olive was a perfect place to stay for our girls trip. We had a connected unit offering enough space and privacy for us. Jonell was kind enough to save us a parking spot right out front, which the car never left since we could walk/bike everywhere. The team had suggestions for good spots to visit in the neighborhood and events happening the holiday we were there. The neighborhood felt safe & quiet each night and it was such a delight waking up to breakfast & coffee each morning before heading out for the day. Would love to stay here again when we come back to New Orleans!

Absolutely loved this place! Went with a group for Mardi Gras/50th birthday celebration. Jonell the innkeeper was a gracious and fun host who seemed to anticipate everyone's needs, from the wonderful breakfasts to the King Cake and red beans and rice on Monday evening. She even reminded us to put on our sunscreen before we set out early Tuesday morning for the festivities! The Magnolia Room was very clean and spacious with a comfortable Queen bed and the private patio with heated pool, fire pit and hot tub were an added bonus after a long day of walking. Also very quiet! Auld Sweet Olive is in a perfect setting - very safe and walkable to many attractions and restaurants, and the grocery store being a 5 minute walk away was quite convenient. The atmosphere of the Marigny neighborhood was very welcoming with fun bars, restaurants and coffee shops nearby. I will definitely stay here again next time I'm back in New Orleans!

Jonell and the rest of the Sweet Olive team were simply exceptional. The rooms were terrific, the breakfasts were great, and the pool and the hottub were clean and heated perfectly. Every moment of this trip was just awesome. This will definitely be a new home away from home for us!

If I could give 5,000🤩 stars I would! Jonelle was an EXCELLENT host and made our stay during Mardi Gras so memorable! From the warm welcome to the lovely details of Mardi Gras bingo, Red beans and rice/King Cake-she was just top notch❤️. Great location as well and beautiful accommodations.
