"Perfect, peaceful stay"

10.0

For our first visit to New Orleans, we wanted to find a quiet, homey B&B with historic charm within walking distance of the French Quarter. Auld Sweet Olive fit the bill perfectly! Our room was very comfortable, breakfasts were delicious, and the pool area was lush and relaxing. Jonell and her husband were friendly and helpful. We hope to return again someday!

"Warm and welcoming stay at Sweet Olive"

10.0

We had a fantastic time at Sweet Olive. We stayed in the Laura Suite which was beautiful and elegant, with a private deck right off the pool. The king size bed made for an incredibly comfortable sleep. The breakfast was delicious with a mix of hot and cold options. Great location, and of course innkeeper Jonelle was the perfect host. We look forward to coming back!

"Wonderful!"

10.0

Wonderful, welcoming, comfortable place to spend a few days in New Orleans. Great location - walking distance from the French Quarter on a quiet street. A delicious breakfast served with a smile by Jonell, the innkeeper. This was my second visit and it is now my go to place in New Orleans.

"Balcony Suite, oh What a Treat!"

10.0

My partner and I recently visited New Orleans and had the most fabulous time! We stayed at Auld Sweet Olive in the Balcony Suite and felt so at home in this cozy, beautifully decorated, and peaceful space. The Innkeeper, Jonell, was so incredibly kind and helpful—she made sure we had everything we needed for a great visit (and boy was it a GREAT visit)! The B&B is in a wonderful, friendly, super walkable neighborhood with a grocery store right across the street and awesome places to eat and drink close by. Bonus points for the place having a pool and hot tub—what a great way to end a day of walking the city and having adventures. There's even beer and wine you can purchase on site, so when you want to come back to a night cap but don't have time to go to the store, they've got you covered! We miss New Orleans so much already and can’t wait to come back and stay at the charming and fabulous Auld Sweet Olive again! Highly recommend this B&B to anyone looking to visit New Orleans.

"Wonderful b&b, close to the french quarter"

10.0

Nice, clean, quiet neighborhood. Easy walk to french quarter. Jonell made a great breakfast every morning. We had the balcony room, which has extra space including a kitchen. Beautiful pool, unfortunately it was cool when we visited. Will definitely stay there again!

"Exceptional"

10.0

Kate, the owner/inn keeper was wonderful - reached out before our travels, and wanted to make sure we were accommodated. Kate's recommendations for dining were excellent, as well as places to visit. We had a wonderful time in New Orleans, and were glad to have stayed at the B&B. Breakfast was homemade, and delicious! Thank you Kate for your hospitality and kindness. Sending our best, and more,

"Our new home away from home"

10.0

Our stay was 12/8 through 12/15/25, and our experience was absolutely incredible. We saw other guests, but we were treated like we were the only people here. We felt like family: welcome, safe, and cared for. Breakfasts were bountiful and varied, always with a hot main and fresh fruit. And bottomless coffee! The home was impeccably clean, lovingly restored, and festively decorated. The king-sized bed in the Sweet Olive room was the perfect balance of firm yet soft. We’ve found our home away from home.

"The perfect peaceful NOLA stay"

9.0

This place was recommended to me by a friend and it was just as good as advertised. The innkeeper, Jonell, was welcoming and made sure I was made to feel at home - even making special breakfasts to work around my allergies. The location is great and it's a beautiful walk to the French Quarter and also in the opposite direction and down to the water. I would definitely stay again and will be passing on the recommendation to others.

There are stairs up to the balcony suite but these were safe and easy to climb unless you have mobility issues.

"Wonderful stay in a lovely spot!"

10.0

We had a fabulous stay at Auld Sweet Olive. We were 2 couples traveling for a 50th birthday and this was the perfect home base. The house is gorgeous and our rooms were clean, comfortable and unique. The common areas were great places to hang out, especially the backyard pool, hot tub and couches. We were warmly greeted and well cared for by the innkeeper Jonell. She prepared delicious breakfast dishes each day and had great suggestions for us. The neighborhood was a lot of fun to explore. We walked through the Marigny to the Bywater and French Quarter, and easily took nearby public transit to the Garden District and Magazine Street. Don't miss getting a slap burger at Marie's Bar a couple of blocks away too! Auld Sweet Olive B&B is a really special place and we look forward to returning.
