Mount Alverno Luxury Resorts

Big bathtub, nice washroom. Room was quiet, bed was comfortable. Snack plate was a pleasant surprise. Food was great, appys at the bar.

Resort is looking just a little tired, some areas in need of upkeep, some lights in my room were not working. Shower tiles need a good scrubbing.

Room smelled of kitchen exhaust. Booked a suite and got a window looking on to the heat pumps and a dirt yard. Really second rate. This is a definite skip!

Room wasn’t ready. Booked a suite and got a room facing the air conditioning unit and the exhaust from the restaurant smelled up the room. Definitely skip this one.

Well, I was greeted by a hair ball and some kind of crumbs (cookie crumbs??) in my room. Next, the view from my room, if I blocked out the broken down equipment and the fences and stacked chairs, and the incredibly dirty windows, it was beautiful. There is a lot going for this property but it needs significant work to get it to premier quality. The food was terrific.

Staff are friendly and helpful. Room is nice and well maintained.

While labeled as luxury, the quality of workmanship throughout is pretty poor. Toilet seats that are broken, toilet paper holders that are bent. No television channels, only smart TV. Nothing bad, just not luxury.

I have travelled extensively for more than 40 years and have never stayed in a hotel room with no chairs. The was an awesome 55” tv with no cable, so why bother with a TV? The air conditioning was atrocious, noisy and went from freezing to warm in minutes. No shower curtain or door, so water went all over the floor. Can’t comment on the food as the menu was very limited and expensive. We had not planned to eat there anyways. You can see that they are trying, but I won’t be back.
