Hyatt Regency Mexico City Insurgentes WTC

The team at this hotel truly made all the difference. Everyone was warm, hospitable, and genuinely friendly—and they went out of their way to make me feel special for my birthday. We were upgraded to a spacious suite with a separate living area and a second bathroom, which made our stay even more comfortable. The location was ideal: far enough from the most tourist-heavy areas to feel calm and relaxed, yet close enough to everything we wanted to see. There were plenty of great restaurants nearby, and having the metro station directly across the street made getting around incredibly easy. The quieter atmosphere made it the perfect place to spend our final two days in CDMX. We also enjoyed the club lounge, which offered breakfast as well as happy hour snacks and cocktails—a great added perk. We had a wonderful stay and will absolutely return on our next trip to Mexico City. Bonus: They have some great art pieces throughout the property!

Great location directly on Metrobus Line 1, but despite being only 2.5 years old the property is starting to fall apart. The walls are also super thin so you hear every word and toilet flush from adjacent rooms. Rooms are not good to share with friends or family - you will hear every sound effect from the toilet throughout the rest of the room including in bed. One night it was so noisy from a party in the room next door that we couldn't sleep. I called the front desk twice but they didn't care. Our room was quite worn - the door to the hallway wouldn't latch very well unless you really pushed hard, the sink didn't drain properly, the curtain rod fell off, and the floor was very damaged. It seems most features of the hotel room and hallways were cracking, separating, or in some other way damaged. A friend gave us a Guest of Honor certificate so we'd be treated like we had his special status. We were given a direct WhatsApp number to contact for issues but when I reported the drainage issue it was ignored for multiple days and nothing was ever done to address it over our 5 night stay. The only benefit of this upgrade we got was a free breakfast. The "Regency Club" room used for breakfast had a great view but the food was mediocre - the standard fare at most Hampton Inns is better. I guess this hotel is more appropriate for people who want a hotel to throw parties in without paying for a party suite and who don't want to have to worry about causing damage to the room because it's already been done.
