Auténtico Vertical Playa del Carmen

Great staff!

EVERYTHING IN OUR ROOM WAS GREAT OTHER THAN THE FACT THAT TV DID NOT OFFER ANY SIGNAL. EVERYTHING IS CLOSE TO THE HOTEL (5TH AVENUE & BEACH) WILL DEFINATELY GO BACK.

Autentico has the friendliest staff, and everyone was very warm and welcome! The rooms were very nice and pretty clean. Of course, this is not a 5 or even a 4 star hotel, but if you just need a place to sleep, it does the trick! We did have half an hour of the water not working (which, ironically, happened to me at another hotel on 38th street about 10 months prior), but they said it would take 30 minutes for the water to turn back on, and it did! My only complaints are the sliding door to the bathroom was a little tricky, and the pillows were pretty awful. Otherwise, a good stay. I would definitely stay here again!

Spacious clean room, very close to Avenida Quinta but very quiet and peaceful. The staff was very helpful, friendly and accommodating. I felt safe walking alone in the area. The bakery across the street is awesome and there’s a large grocery store a block and 1/2 away. Would definitely stay there again

Room size was great. Everything was super clean and the staff was incredibly helpful. Location was great, close to good bars and restaurants.

This hotel has the potential to be good. Great bathrooms and clean. However they are not good with customer service. We experienced leaking through the ceiling in the middle of the night which wet our belongings, and then there was no water in the bathroom in the morning. The hotel apologised and offered us an additional night at a discounted rate! No refunds offered. Having contacted hotels.com half a dozen times now, they are unable to get in touch with the hotel who doesn’t answer the phone or emails. In the end I gave up as it is a waste of my time trying to chase my refund request. Hotels.com have been good with customer service and have offered my a voucher for my trouble but this hotel should not be available on their site in my opinion.
