Room and breakfast

Great hotel and service overall. Food at Cena Pranzo is amazing. Breakfast buffet at Maison Maya was great as well. However, I ordered room service kebab and briyani which did not meet expectations. There was a hair in my pickles and the briyani was soggy and meat was dry. Kebab ordered was too spicy as well. Other than that one experience, I liked the food overall. The team were quick to address my complaint and the hotel staff and chef apologised and refunded the food, which I appreciated. The chef also took steps to apologise and offer to cook to my preferences which I appreciated very much. I wanted to express my thanks again to the team for setting up the tour and compliments to the driver for accomodating my preferences and schedule as well. On overall feedback, I appreciated the tour overall, compliments for the flexibility where the driver and guide accomodated my preference for a quick stop at Agarsen Baoli and Safdarjung tomb. However, while we previously confirmed that the visit timing for the Qutb Minar was 5-7pm, the guide informed me that he needed to depart at 6.15pm which cut things short. I would like to have visited for longer and availed his assistance with reaching the pick up point at the site when I was done. The need for his earlier departure was not communicated to me till the last minute. Additionally, the guide's English proficiency was a little bit lacking which caused some misunderstandings and communication issues. Also, we were a recommended by the guide to stop by an overpriced souvenir shop at Connaught, which I did not appreciate. Also, at Chadni Chowk I did appreciate the guide's assistance with getting around and tips on the rickshaw. However, it would have been better to pre-negotitate prices with the rickshaw driver before the ride to prevent any misunderstandings on pricing. He did not do so which made the pricing and payment after the ride rather awkward. Overall, for the hotel's private tour the price paid was not good value for money given the experience above but the flexibility and efforts by the driver and concierge to set this up was appreciated.
