The facilities, acomodation clean and tidy, I love the apartment

The receptionist was rude and I got the impression that we were bothering him. He wanted additional money from us that was not mentioned on the booking, he wanted a $50 deposit and 100 le per day for electricity. We did not receive any confirmation of our additional payment. The room was dirty, the sheets on the beds were not changed after the previous guests, the bathroom was dirty, there were hairs everywhere, traces of toothpaste and the toilet was not cleaned. The kitchen was dirty, pots unfit for use and cutlery rusty.

facilities are good neat and clean. You have all the equipment to cook and wash ur clothes.

Management is pathetic, don't expect good customer service especially from Tamer. it feels like u r in boarding school swimming pool and beach access is only 9-5. Breakfast quantity is limited, 2 falafel, 2 bread, 1 egg and juice or tea anything above it is chargeable. Mind you, you will be charged refundable deposit depending on the room you have booked. Had very bad experience with Tamer and the manager didn't have balls to come and talk to us. I wud definitely suggest to give a pass, there are similar and better resort at the same location.

The staff is super friendly and well educated. The resort is a quiet and excellent spot for a relaxing vacation alone or with family and friends. The apartment is clean, comfortable and the sea view is definitely the best option to have a good time I will come back again for sure The staff were so helpful with everything and even when I needed to. Change my reservation unexpectedly and leave.

I believe the swimming pool should have less ball games and water splashing, and could also be closed after 6 pm as long as it's summer. But that's not an issue, you have the beach front still open.

Villa very spacious. Private pool nice size. Lovely balconies. Good WiFi. Washing machine. Management very helpful. Quiet location. Coral for snorkelling if you walk a hundred metres past shallows. Need beach shoes as it is a bit rocky initially.

Kitchen not greatly equipped. A lovely property that is lacking finishing touches, eg marble sinks but nothing underneath. Bedding was a bit dirty when we stripped bedding. Breakfast included- you get a voucher for the Arena Beach Bar and Restaurant. It is the same every day which is the Egyptian Oriental Breakfast which consists of- 2 x falafels 2x pitta bread Pot fava beans Pot pickled veg A plain omelette A pot of a cheese dish (looks like cottage cheese) Jam sachets A bottle of water (no tea or coffee included in price) If you are vegan you just get same without omelette or cheese

In general I thought the Selena Bay resort was excellent. It was clean, good facilities and generally helpful staff and normally I would have given 9 out of 10. However the last two days including checkout were very difficult and I feel a little exploited.

As we checked out at 4am we were given a £42 fine for a broken chair and we’re not allowed to leave until we paid. Obviously I would pay if we had damaged something, but I checked the room myself and am very sure we did not break anything, but I couldn’t contest this as I had to leave for my flight, so just paid. It is a shame because it spoiled our experience. I would advise all guests to have a joint check of your room with the staff at the start of your visit to ensure you don’t get this sudden extra payment at the end of your stay.
