Good location, quiet and beautiful property. Kindest hosts. Well equipped room. Nice breakfast. Take the eggs for an extra fee, they are worth it.

The room needs more heating.

Very nice & quiet 2 bedroom B&B. The host and hostess were very friendly and accommodating. Jeff had a fire in the wood stove in the morning and evening to take off the fall chill. Hot tub outside, where we sat with a glass of wine watching the sheep graze in the neighboring pasture. Lovely location a few kilometers south of Te Anau.

What a wonderful place with friendly hosts and very comfortable accommodation. I would definitely recommend this property. The location is convenient to the town and yet you feel that you are in your own private property location, surrounded by sheep and beautiful birds.

The place felt very luxurious. Everything was of high quality. Room was clean and had everything we needed. Bathroom was also nice. Jeff is an amazing, friendly host. We loved talking to him in the kitchen when he made breakfast.The to-go breakfast provided the other day was also very good and generous. And Eddie and Frenkie where lovely as well!

Just a tip: maybe the room can be a bit more sound proof.

Wonderful stay at Alpine Lodge. Rooms were very comfortable and breakfast was delicious. The garden is beautiful and the house feels intentional and cozy. We also enjoyed the hot tub when it was pouring down rain, which was a nice amenity after a day of hiking. Jeff and Jan are excellent hosts and even helped us dry our soaking wet clothes. The place is conveniently located to down, and close to a bird sanctuary. We hope to stay at the Alpine Lodge again!

Clean, comfortable, and conveniently located for a day trip to Milford Sound. Old school bed & breakfast with outstanding hosts Jeff & Jan, who's attention to detail and friendliness made us feel most welcome. About 5 min drive out of Te Anau in the quiet of the rolling countryside. We did a night either side of our Milford Sound visit, and we highly recommend Alpine Rock.

We had a simply splendid time at Alpine Rock with gracious hosts who were wonderful. The B&B is thoughtfully fully equipped and cosy. Breakfast was prepared expertly and no wishes were left open. The property is located a short ride outside of the village offering an impressive view.
