Ocean Mist Leith

Had a fabulous time on board the Ocean Mist. Our cabin was first class in every aspect. Whole ship was spotless and finished to a very high standard. Staff very helpful with a special mention to Toni. We will return!

The staff is very welcoming and smiling, the rooms are quiet, very well decorated and arranged, there is coffee, tea available as well as little treats. Vintage bathroom with beautiful bathrobes, perfect bedding, a very cute stuffed animal as a « do not disturb « sign. Hearty continental breakfast with salted ,sugar , yogurts , fruits, pastries! Perfect location , the airport tram can take you in 50 m , 5 m walk to the hotel for 11 £ p/p ( stop at THE SHORE and 5 m walk , this same tram drops you off in the center of Edinburgh too in 15 m , every 8 m! Ocean Mist’s bar is very pleasant , open until 11 p.m. , vintage and super cozy! Opposite the hotel you have a very good fish restaurant, very classy, ​​semi-gastronomic cuisine! Superb experience and address!!!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay aboard Ocean Mist and can’t wait to return! The crew were exceptional—friendly, professional, and genuinely enthusiastic about what they do. Every conversation was filled with warmth and positivity, from the fantastic breakfast each morning to the relaxed evening drinks in the bar. We celebrated our anniversary during our stay, and the team went above and beyond to make it truly special. Our cabin was beautifully decorated, complete with thoughtful touches like drinks and a lovely card. A huge thank you to Daniel, who kindly helped me plan a surprise for my wife—he ensured everything went perfectly! The dockside location is ideal, surrounded by great restaurants and bars, while the tram makes it easy to reach Edinburgh city centre in just a few minutes. Ocean Mist strikes the perfect balance between peaceful waterfront charm and easy access to everything the city has to offer. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a memorable and unique Edinburgh experience!

Our third stay on the Ocean Mist and it won't be our last. We were made to feel welcome as soon as we stepped onboard and the whole experience was excellent. Highlight was probably enjoying a cocktail in the cosy bar on the top deck. Continental breakfast the next morning was also relaxing and unhurried. The room was very clean and beautifully equipped. One thing to note; the floors on the boat tend not to be level so may not be suitable for all. We loved it though

We had a fantastic stay on Ocean Mist. Greeted with a warm welcome, and all the staff were friendly and helpful at all times. We had a Cabin which was a good size, excellent hypnos bed and a good size shower room. Continental breakfast was provided in the price and the selection was beautifully presented. The bar is open from 4pm and has great views around the harbour. Leith has a number of restaurants at different price points so you don't have to travel far for dinner. Having travelled by train we used the tram to get in and out of Edinburgh which takes approx 10 mins and was very convenient.

All staff very friendly and helpful. Needed decaf teabags in the room and these were swiftly provided. Good selection on the continental breakfast. Room clean and spacious. Also very quiet, a little noise as there was a connecting door (locked) to the room next door but this did not affect our stay. Would recommend, had a great stay.

I wanted something a bit special for our wedding anniversary, chose the Ocean Mist and booked the Joseph Hobbs suite. The 2 night stay was absolutely perfect. The suite was fantastic with a massive bed and an amazing bath. The staff were all very friendly, the continental breakfast was perfect in a lovely setting. Although the boat has obviously been refurbished it’s very much in keeping with a 1920s feel, like being on a mini Titanic (without the iceberg). Leith isn’t normally an area I would stay in when visiting Edinburgh but with the tram stop a 2 minute walk away it’s now not an issue. We really look forward to staying on board again. What a great find in Leith. Easy parking, excellent reception and a very well decorated and appointed room. Comfortable bed. The bar at the top was very cost, well stocked with terrific views. Staff were very helpful. Breakfast was in the bar area which I didn’t have - continental.

Something different with very helpful staff. Location for eating out options was excellent and the city tram was a 5 - 10 minute walk away so easy to get into the city from Leith. Even better the same tram takes you all the way to the airport and as it is near the end of the run seats and luggage storage are not a problem. The bedroom was very comfortable although a little tight for luggage storage while the bathroom was excellent and a good shower. Staff at the desk, most helpful and knowledgable and always willing to listen. A quiet place to stop for a break and not so far from the city.
