Ocean Mist Leith

Great location, from the moment you walk onto the boat you are made to feel welcome, the layout and decor is fantastic , a lovely step back in time. Staff are very friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble. The little touches like luxury toiletries, sweets all around the boat, tea and coffee facilities in the room - even the little stamp and boat folded onto the toilet roll all add to a fantastic experience. The breakfast is continental style but with plenty of choice for any palate and the bar offers a wide range of drinks and superb cocktails! Plenty of eating and drinking places nearby -worth having a mooch around Leith to discover more. We will certainly be returning.

Great location in Leith, this little ship has been beautifully transformed into such a lovely hotel. Very welcoming atmosphere and kind staff. We were offered a reduced price upgrade to the Guinness room, it was fabulous, and there were nice touches for our wedding anniversary, including free drinks, thank you. Great little bar and the weather was mild enough to sit outside on the deck at dusk. Plenty of quality choice at the continental breakfast in the morning. Really enjoyed our relaxing, peaceful stay in beautiful surroundings.

Absolutely fantastic. Location in Leith is brilliant. 5 mins on tram into centre. Decor and quality of cabins is 5 star. Breakfast was varied and beautiful salmon and such a selection of breads. Bar on voardcand drinks is awesome. What a gorgeous place to stay.

What a lovely, unique place to stay. Unfortunately we only spent 1 night but it certainly warrants a longer stay. Albert greeted us and made us feel most at home. He is also a fountain of information so do not hesitate to ask him anything. The cabins are spacious, bathrooms fitted with all the necessary amenities. Of course the nautical theme is carried throughout. There is a lovely continental breakfast in the bar area which leads to outdoor seating where you can enjoy spectacular views. We look forward to returning sometime soon!

Looking for somewhere quirky to stay in Edinburgh this is the place ! Lovely appointed cabins with full shower room. Great cocktails served in the on deck bar. Tasty breakfast. Staff all friendly & eager to help. I left my boots behind & received a phone call shortly after we checked out so I was able to return quickly & retrieve them. Will definitely be back

I stayed at the beautiful Ocean Mist with my daughter as a birthday gift to us both. It was lovely that the staff had remembered that and made a fuss of us. All the staff were welcoming and helpful and the service excellent. The room and public areas were very clean, classy and tasteful with many seafaring touches. We will definitely return or at least call for a drink when next in Edinburgh as the bar area was fabulous with a great view and atmosphere. There were many great eateries literally just across the quayside road. A great base for an Edinburgh sightseeing break

Brilliant location for Edinburgh centre, Royal Yacht Britannia and many more places to visit. Brilliant welcome. It was a treat for my partner, as it was his significant Birthday and the staff put balloons and HAPPY BIRTHDAY on the bedhead. The staff were so lovely and helpful. The room was immaculate. The bed was so comfy and big! The upstairs bar was welcoming and relaxing. It was a treat and therefore I was prepared to pay a little more for such a wonderful experience. We will be going back. Thank you!

Boutique hotel with a difference. Really felt like we'd stepped back in time with the 1920s art decor. Really spacious room with plenty of light with all the windows, we stayed in the Kenelm Guinness suite. Super king size bed. Sloped floor reminded us that we were on a ship. Spotlessly clean. Great to have tea and coffee and a kettle in the room and the Tunnocks available at reception was a lovely touch. The staff were very friendly and helpful. On our last morning at breakfast the staff provided a map and suggestions on the best way to get to Stockbridge. We used the tram the 3 days we were there, the pass paid for itself, the tram stop is only a 5 minute walk and they run every 7 minutes. There are plenty of bars and restaurants near Ocean Mist if you want to stay local, Lost in Leith was a great place, Malt and Hop nearby, busy but a bit pricey. Royal Brittania Yacht very interesting, ( if you're a CAMC member you can get 10% discount on entry). Worth calling into their tea rooms, amazing views over the water. The botanical gardens in Edinburgh are worth a visit and free entry. If we visit Edinburgh again we would definitely book Ocean Mist again.

My wife and I stayed in the Hobbs cabin. It was a lovely big room with a tub. The staff was so helpful checking us in early while we went and explored. The bar is a not to miss space, delicious drinks, cozy space, amazing views. Great place to stay!
