Ocean Mist Leith

Excellent unique accommodation. Born in Leith but not visited in long time..Will definitely return as area is incredible with bars, restaurants and so much to explore. Boat has been refurbished to exceptional standard, bed is super comfy and fantastic shower. Breakfast continental and perfectly adequate..just a tight squeeze when busy but you can't complain when view is amazing...got to mention the complimentary Tunnocks goodies 😉...bar stunning as were the cocktails..will definitely return.

We spent 2 lovely nights aboard the Ocean Mist while in Edinburgh in August. The whole hotel is finished to a very high standard with the added quirk of being afloat. The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout,. The continental breakfast was excellent and there was plenty of it. Having stayed nearer the centre of town during previous tattoo visits we were very happy with how much quieter and peaceful it was aboard the Ocean Mist at Leith. Getting there by tram from Waverley station was easy with only a short walk from the stops. The area is well served by other bars and restaurants with plenty of public transport options. We'll be certainly staying there on our next visit.

everything on the boat was amazing! I feel so lucky that I got the chance to stay there, even if for just one night. I will be back in Edinburgh next October and will definitely book a room there again.

Ocean Mist has an interesting history you can read about on board. Each room (or cabin) has it’s own name. Ours was clean comfortable and cosy. The en suite was excellent and has the benefit of mains water. Excellent shower! Although there is no dining room for an evening meal, before going out to one of the many pubs and restaurants just a short walk away, you can enjoy a pre-dinner drink in the charming bar or lounge. If the weather is kind, you can enjoy that drink on deck! After dinner, the bar beckons you back. The continental breakfast served in the bar is superb, as is the endless coffee or tea. Service from the friendly crew is faultless. I recommend the Ocean Mist.

Ocean Mist was our base for a visit to Leith for the weekend while we visited The Kitchin restaurant. Clean, quirky and a great place to stay in the centre of Leith.

Had an absolutely delightful stay on Ocean Mist. Wow, what a truly beautiful hotel. The attention to detail is amazing and very well thought out. The service on board was exceptional from the moment we checked in to our departure. The quality of finishes in the hotel is first class and the staff are all so friendly and helpful. The hotel and cabins were spotlessly clean and the cabins were of a very generous size. Would highly recommend staying here.

Our stay at Ocean Mist was spectacular from start to finish. This ship has quite a history (be sure to look at the photo album at the front desk), and the highlight of the story is its refurbishment into a beautiful place to stay. The staterooms are gorgeous with top amenities and marvelous attention to detail in keeping with the era. Don't miss a stay here - Albert makes you feel very welcome, as does the rest of the Ocean Mist family.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay on the Ocean Mist. Beautiful, spacious rooms and bathrooms were very clean and nicely furnished. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The bar, with a terrific view, served delicious cocktails. Our young bartender was so nice, did such a great job, and made our visit fun. A few parking spots are available but must be reserved. Very memorable time!

I was looking forward to staying here and it didn’t fail to amaze me. From the moment you step inside the staff/crew are absolutely lovely and very attentive, nothing is too much of a bother. Their cocktails are one of the best I’ve had, the room was very clean. I wanted to catch the name of the young man that was working there on our first night night as I wanted to tell the hotel how much of an asset that young man is. He made a great cocktail, very polite, gave my partner a talk about Ocean Mist and even did small things like ask if we needed a blanket in case we were cold when sitting out on the deck. I will definately be back one day and would highly recommend anyone to experience Ocean Mist.
