Washburn Hotel Suites

The location was perfect — close to Washburn university. The room was spacious, more like an apartment than a hotel room.

The staff was fantastic when they were available. The problem was, no one ever answered the phone and the times I went to the lobby no one was there. It took a few hours after leaving several voicemails to get the wifi password. The toilet began overflowing after the first flush. Luckily it was Friday and they got someone up there within a few hours.. however, I’m not sure this would’ve been the case over the weekend. This place strikes me more as a long term or week to week rental. It’s ran more like that too. Don’t expect the immediate response time of a hotel. When staff was available they were great, however it wasn’t easy to get ahold of them. The room was clean, but a little run down. The bathroom vent had visible black mold on and around it. The toilet needed to be repaired the first day. The AC and dishwasher were extremely loud and all of the ceiling fans made loud noises. The room was extremely light on guest supplies.. only one roll of paper towels and toilet paper. Minimal soap and one kitchen rag. Only two plates, two bowls, two cups etc in the kitchen. This was fine for my partner and I, but we did run out of paper towels and toilet paper and this could be an issue for families or larger parties.

The space was great. Being able to cook your meal fantastic.

Need more cookware, air bake pizza sheet, place settings for 3.

Clean and spacious

There was not hot water and the wifi would not work.

It was really nice like my own little apartment for the night they even had some pans and silverware.

There was a problem with the drain but nothing I don’t mind.

Almost everything!! The apartment was fully stocked with dishes, pans and anything you would need to cook a meal. Dishwasher, washer and dryer, full size refrigerator, stove. Very impressed!

No elevator. We were on the third floor and my cousin is not able to climb stairs easily. I felt bad for her.

The location to the campus is excellent!

The carpeting needs to be replaced and there are very few utensils and pans in the kitchen. Can’t use the kitchen do the lack of items.

The apartment was huge! So much room for a traveling family to be able to be comfortable.

There are windows in each bedroom with mini blinds. So much light filtered through from the street lights that we felt like we were sleeping either the lights on. Blackout curtains would make this place a 10!

It was just a place to be in… no one asked what was priority and no one showed up to ask what was needed
