Mountainside Inn

This Inn worked out very well for my husband and I and 3 teenage grandsons. The family suite was ideal.

My husband and I just returned from a visit to West Texas (with two other couples) that included a single night stay at the Mountainside Inn in Fort Davis. What an absolute breath of fresh air!! This charming little inn was impeccably clean, adorably decorated, and very comfortable. Best of all, however, was getting to know the innkeeper, Jennifer. Not only was she thoroughly delightful, filling us in on her journey to Fort Davis, but she also provided excellent information regarding things to see and do in the area. We would highly recommend this perfect little spot and can’t wait to return.

It's a beautiful setting and a homey feel to the room. It would have helped if more info about the facility had been provided up front so that I could have better planned for my stay.

I cannot say enough good things about my stay at Mountainside Inn, and my standards are extremely high. The bed was super comfy and the room was very clean. My family and I occupied several rooms, so I got to see most of them. Each is uniquely decorated, and it is clear that a lot of thought went into making each room cozy and welcoming. The quiet hours (between 10pm and 7am) are strictly enforced, so it's wonderful if you are the type of person who values your sleep. Additionally, the in room AC provides a white-noise hum, blocking out most noises outside the room. The AC is not noisy or disruptive, constantly turning on and off, like it is in many hotels - this is important to me as a light sleeper. There is a common area with a living room and kitchen which you have to share with the other hotel guests. This was not a big deal most of the time as people are coming and going and not really hanging out on the property - so you don't have to do a lot of awkward interacting with strangers if that's not your thing. Overall, it was a wonderful place to stay!

Family suite (2 bedroom and bath) had one tiny window AC; totally inadequate in a heat wave. No breakfast. Fridge door sign said milk was available, but it was only almond milk. Disappointing place.
