Mondrian Mexico City Condesa

I really wanted to love this hotel, but it fell short (given its promise and price point). I'll go through the good and bad: The good: - Great location. Safe neighborhood and walking distance to great food and coffee options - Modern and beautiful lobby (with shared spaces with Andaz) - Modern room - Great and polite concierge The bad: - Breakfast: Breakfast area is outdoors. So when it's raining or cold, it is not ideal. They do have some heaters (and not beside all tables), but on one of the days that we were there (and it was extremely cold), they casually said that they don't have gas and therefore can't turn them on. They did provide blankets, but that wasn't as convenient, and naturally, it smelled like the previous person and their breakfast. But the main issue with breakfast is that the seating area is extremely small for the number of guests in the hotel. We had to spend a long time (outside in the cold) waiting to get a table. That creates unnecessary and unpredictable anxiety, as every morning we had a scheduled event or tour. For this reason, we had to rush through our prepaid buffet breakfast every day. The quality of the breakfast also doesn't align with the price of the hotel (Especially as you compare it to Andaz hotel breakfast, which is 5 steps away - inside the same facility). - The website promises 2 Queen beds in the room, but it is in reality two Double beds, and very difficult for two adults to sleep on. - We were 3 people in the room (2 adults and 1 child). When I asked the reception to please provide us 3 waters (vs. the daily complimentary 2) because we are the 3 people in the room, I was told that it is not possible and I have to pay for the extra water! Again, it wasn't going to break the bank, but for the price that we were paying for the room, it was very disrespectful to hear that. - The beautiful/modern faucet in the bathroom (at least in our room) is not practical. The faucet's neck is so short that it is really suitable for small hands. These are my personal experiences, and may be different than others. But I won't be staying here again on my next CDMX visit.

The Mondrian was a great home base for our trip to Mexico City. The staff was friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean, and the hotel was superbly located in the city.

Issac and the staff at Mondrian were fantastic!! We felt very welcomed and all of our needs weee met. We definitely plan on returning. Much love to all !!!

We like the place, people were very friendly. Hotel is perfectly located in Condesa/ Roma Norte. Great area for food and drinks. A special thanks to Jaime for all his help.

Family of 4 had a great trip and stay. Clean hotel with a great breakfast, centrally located, and excellent concierge to help navigate tours and transportation. Would recommend!

I had a wonderful experience at the hotel. Jaime was so attentive and always assisted us with our bags and any thing that came up . We will be returning

My wife and I had a fabulous stay at the Mondrian. The hotel was perfectly located and the amenities were fantastic. Our trip to Mexico City was for my wife's birthday. On the morning of her birthday I went to get her coffee and to try and hunt down a birthday card. While on the elevator I met Jany Vega, Front Desk Manager. She started a conversation with me and offered to get a card for me. She certainly exceeded my expectations when the card was delivered to the room later that day with a cake and a bottle of champagne. It was a truly amazing gesture and my wife loved it.

We love this hotel. Super clean and staff is excellent. Great location walking distance from wonderful restaurants, bars, and parks
