Mondrian Mexico City Condesa

The Mondrian is basically a shared space with the Hotel Andaz where I stayed a year earlier. Andaz was much better. Better breakfast by far, lounges, more cooperative elevators, seemed like a bigger room. It was also less expensive! The staff is nice at both places. Biggest gripe with Mondrian? Room not ready when we arrived post-check in time Waited over 30 minutes. Keys repeatedly not working in the elevator, no hot water until a shower repair was made, had to eat breakfast outdoors in the rain at a tiny table, room absolutely not cleaned properly (actual toenails - not ours - on the floor) and the floor itself was filthy. See photo. That was the result of a damp tissue wiped lightly on the floor. I love the area. Recommend staying in the better half- Andaz.

The hotel was nice, the concierge were pleasant but unfortunately the reception staff were too rigid and pushy not what you'd expect from a hotel at this price and of this quality.

This hotel is in a great location. The communal areas are clean and look great! Unfortunately, the room design was not great. There was a very large pillar in the room that interfered with getting in and out of bed. The shower was terrible, hard to adjust temperature and the shower head only had one water setting that was very harsh on the skin. One night we tried to have a drink and were turned away from the restaurant because it was closing. It was 9:30pm and the sign said open until 11pm. I would probably choose a different hotel for a return to CDMX.

Mexico City is a hard city and the Mondrian was my oasis. Friendly, efficient with excellent service. I especially appreciated the restaurant crew who worked breakfast for the two days I was there, November 8 and 9. They were particularly accommodating. And really sweet!

Hotel is nice enough. Decent location. Wildly overpriced for what it is. Rooms are noisy~ you hear every single person in the hallway and every door closing. Shower immediately turns into a swamp and if you take a long shower, water spills over onto bathroom floor. Restaurant isn’t very good and has a fairly limited menu. I would not choose to stay here again. There are better options for less money.

The team was very pleasant, room was great, would recommend. Special shout out to Jaime who was especially helpful throughout my visit!

Wonderful experience at a beautiful hotel. Service was a 11/10. The entire staff treated us so well, housekeeping was top tier and the concierge was one of the best I have ever met. Gustavo organized memorable experiences for our group and was so helpful planning the logistics ( flawlessly) . I will be back! If you get the chance to visit CDMX , do yourself a favor and stay at The Mondrian.

We landed in Mexico City late, so we organised a transfer from the hotel to pick us up. This was incredibly smooth and the driver was lovely. Check in was also smooth, all staff were lovely and welcoming. Our room was a good size, bigger than it looks in pictures. Really nice toiletries. I wish the hair dryer was better, I have long thick hair and it was impossible to dry my hair with the small hair dryer provided. The location was perfect for us. Walking distance to many shops and restaurants in Condesa and the many parks surrounding. You can walk to other places such as Roma Norte but we took a taxi. The staff were lovely throughout. We booked a driver to collect us after an event and it was organised smoothly. We were here for Mexican Independence Day so we asked the concierge for suggestions on how to spend the day and restaurants to visit. They were super helpful and booked a restaurant for us, which was a great spot. We went with a list of what we wanted to try and see and they helped us organise our couple of days, as they knew all the museum opening times. The terrace bar was a nice visit on our first evening. The staff were run off their feet so wasn't the best service, some of our order was missed. However, the food was delicious and a good selection for a hotel bar. The coffee/ shop in the hotel was a cute touch and nice to grab a coffee in the morning while getting ready. Only one comment from me would be that the entrance to the hotel was confusing as it was the entrance to two hotels. This made it harder for us to find the correct concierge for our hotel vs the other. It was also a bit tricky to navigate all the bars/ cafes on the premises, however we were able to ask staff and they were really helpful!
