SUMAQ PUNO

It's right around the corner from the main square and close to many travel agencies. The room was clean and there was a small heater. It does get very cold at night, so the heater is definitely a bonus. The beds were also comfortable. If it hadn't been for the smell, it would have been a nice hotel for the price.

The first two rooms they showed us had bathrooms which smelled really badly of mold. Then we got a room on the 3rd floor which they had sprayed with some room refreshener or perfume. It was so bad that I could taste it on my tongue. The window was facing an inner court with a roof, so we could barely ventilate the room. It was a miserable night. We moved to another hotel right after breakfast.

A basic but comfortable and clean hotel with friendly and helpful staff. The hotel's location is just a five minutes walk from the historical city center with bars, cafes and restaurants.

There was not hot water in the mornings. On both days of my stay I had to choose to either take a really cold shower or no shower at all. Both are not an option for me. Having called out the issue with the hotel's reception staff, the problem was not addressed effectively.

Breakfast was interesting and convenient - delivered to our room. The fresh fruit was especially delicious. Staff were extremely helpful throughout the stay. Wifi was fast

The hot water didn't work properly so we didn't get many hot showers - usually warm or lukewarm. Beds were very hard

Staffs are very friendly and free hot drinks. Location is great too!

Welcoming stuff, always smiling and helpful. Property clean, hot water, free tea. My room was spacious and there was a private bathroom inside. Breakfast delivered to the room. I really enjoyed my stay in Puno.

It was a bit cold in the evenings but it is what it is: hot, sunny days and cold nights. Sometimes problem with the internet.
