We had a great stay overall, beautiful hotel, excellent valet service, and very friendly staff. However, we were disappointed with the pet accommodations. We notified the hotel in advance that we were bringing our dog, but no water bowl, treats, or welcome kit were provided, despite the $200 pet fee. There was also no designated pet relief area on-site or even nearby, which made things quite difficult. We’d suggest adding a small relief area and some basic amenities for pets to better justify the fee. Everything else was wonderful!

We stayed here 3 nights for a birthday weekend, and had a wonderful time. 1. Sleep: Our suite and king room were very quiet! They had ample blackout curtains, and just a few lights we covered with painter's tape. The only potential nuisances were an under-mirror bathroom light that stays on 24/7 (we shut the door to block most of it out) and quiet humming from the bathroom's fan, which don't have switches to turn off. 2. Food-allergy accommodation: One member of our party had a severe food allergy, and Ritz-Carlton staff members went above and beyond to make sure everything was labeled or called out as needed. Our room's personalized amenity was allergen-free! This all was a huge relief and made us feel "seen." 3. Location: Super easy--just a couple blocks from Powell's with lots of good restaurants a few steps away. Getting out of downtown never took long when we went farther afield. 4. Dining: We didn't end up eating at Bell & Pine, but did love Dolly Olive (a couple blocks away) and ordering from Shalom Y'all. The Whole Foods near Powell's is convenient for staples. 5. Club Lounge: The concierges were very gracious and checked in regularly, and my husband liked the complimentary drinks. While we enjoyed the beautiful space (floor-to-ceiling windows with a view of the downtown), the 7:30am opening was slightly late for our schedule. The lounge offered quite a few sweets, but the savory options were a little limited in size and variety--we saw the same dishes and ingredients across several days. 6. Pool: The pool has a gorgeous view! There weren't a ton of lounge chairs. 7. Miscellaneous: Bell service was awesome; coffee was Nespresso Original; soap was Diptyque Philosykos; the king room was pretty dark during the daytime; they were happy to provide a microwave on request. All in all, this is a 4.5 that I'm rounding up to 5 because of outstanding customer service. We're excited for out next visit!

The service was outstanding! I would come back just for the amazing staff, who were friendly and very helpful. They suggested the best restaurant recommendation of our trip. The upstairs pool and spa were also a relaxing highlight. We enjoyed the central location, hotel restaurant, and lobby bar. Truly a luxurious and restful retreat.

The staff, everyone was thoughtful, professional and welcoming. The rooms are ok in size considering the other Ritz-Carltons globally. The gym and pool are absolutely breathtaking. The view on the high floors facing Mt Hood is incredible. The beddings are extremely comfortable.

Parking was very expensive, but again, the staff is just great. I'm also disappointed that the shower doesn't have a rainfall shower head, and the water pressure didn't "blow me away". Not awful, but come on, this is a white-marble Ritz-Carlton bathroom! Turndown service was a bottle of water and 2 small pieces of chocolate. Lol, better than nothing.

Beautiful property. No cafe or light dining inside, but there is a coffee shop just a half block away. Entry staff remembers your name, and you may just remember theirs too because of this.
