Hostal Talavera

Quite run-down in my opinion. Really old beds, matraces were okay. Next to a main road with really poor windows, so a lot of noise from the street.

Staff very helpful and spoke English. 20min walk into the centre. Comfy bunk bed in dorm, pleasant surroundings and clean, coffee available, adequate shared kitchen with roof top area. Secure. Near McDonalds! Strong wi fi. 24 hour access via code key.

No lock on dorm door. (lockers inside) Not always hot water available in showers and power weak in women's. Room temperature in 4 bed dorm very cold ( warmer outside).....from outside looks as though no rendering on breeze block construction. ( may be warmer in other dorms?) Stairway a bit precarious but attractive.

The property was a cool building, with a nice roof top terrace and kitchen with it. Very light bright and airy and very safe inside. The drinks were not expensive and the bed was extremely comfortable! The bathroom decor was nice to look at and the smart tv worked great when linking to a phone. The staff were friendly and helpful. The wifi also worked well.

The bathroom had no door in our private room and although the toilet had a cubical it had massive gaps and it made no difference, you knees also touched the toilet door when you tried to close it. The water never got hot no matter how long it was ran for in the shower or the sink. The shower also leaked whenever you used it no matter how many towels you put down which made the bedroom floor wet as well as the bathroom. The room was very very cold with no option for heating other than a big blanket. The area itself was unsafe at nighttime.

The room was a pretty big and the WiFi worked well. The hostel also provided information about local attractions and the staff were very helpful in providing information on how to get to and from places like the bus station

The show door didn’t close fully, so to ended up with a pool of water on the bedroom floor. The toilet room is way to small, with the door touching my knees when I used it. The location is not central and not in the safest area to be walking the streets at night. Too far away from the historical square - 1.2Km The worst thing of my stay was when I returned at 10:20 at night and rang the doorbell for 40 minutes for a staff member to let me in. Luckily a guest up on the terrace finally saw me and let me in. I was told the next morning that there was a code, but they had forgotten to provided me with it. I was not best pleased 😕

Al llegar lobby olía a sudor, la habitación bien cómoda, calientita y limpia, no me dejaron pagar con tarjeta, estacionamiento recomendado cierra muy temprano 10pm y debes recoger coche 9am, al regresar a la 1am de mi evento no había agua y nadie me solucionó hasta el día siguiente que volví a enviar mensaje.

Nice staff. Big room. Good internet. Not too far from city center. Good price. Seems very social if you're looking for that. They sent helpful instructions for getting there because the taxi drivers don't know the place.

Bathroom setup in private room really wasn't good. The toilet stall was so small, my legs didn't fit if I closed the door. The door was only a stall door anyway, so it was quite intimate. The shower leaked a lot of water into the room even though we took quick showers (because the hot water only lasted a few seconds and you had to turn off and on again). There was a lot of noise and music at night but that wasn't really a problem for us. Just note that it isn't a quiet place. While it was close enough to the center if you're going to spend the day in the center, I wouldn't recommend the location because there's nothing to do or eat very close. So you can't just go out for a quick meal for example.

The bed was super comfortable and large, and the room was very quiet and private. The staff are really friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. The shower had hot water without issue, though the showe stall does leak a bit it's no big deal. Will stay again! Muchísimas gracias!
