Liked · Yamatoya and its hospitality was incredible! the online photos do not do justice with how beautiful this ryokan is. We used google translate to help with the language barrier. And the reception lady is so cute lol. This ryokan is centrally located which made exploring all of the town so easy. We started our trip to Japan here, and staying at a ryokan and experiencing onsen was a major highlight of our 2 week trip. As a couple, we took advantage of the inn's private onsen so we could be together. We also utilized the pass to onsen hop in Kinosaki. Eating the traditional kaiseki banquet dinner and Japanese breakfast were meal experiences I will cherish for a lifetime. The quality and presentation of the food was impeccable. And the dishware was so cute. The inn even helped us call a cab so we could spend the last morning of our stay at Takeno Beach.

Great location, in the heart of the Kinosaki onsen main area with a ton of shops restaurants and onsens. Staff were extremely friendly and accommodating.

There's no breakfast for this ryokan but we did come to expect that with the more affordable pricing. Regardless, food is available everywhere within the area.

Everything was AMAZING, the staff, the hotel, the private bath!!! Best ryokan in 5 weeks of travel in Japan, and the price is so cheap compared to the experience!! Also the food was amazing and they provided a menu without meat, because we can’t eat meat. Thank you so much!!!!!

Great location close to the best onsen in town. Lovely staff, good rooms and we loved the private onsen. Really recommend this hotel/ ryokan.

Very central located in the town, with a pass for all the onsens and an amazing dinner and breakfast. Staff was also very friendly!

The staff doesn’t really speak any English so you might need to use google translate a lot to communicate

This ryokan was great and I would recommend it to anyone that is visiting Kinosaki Onsen. It is in an excellent location and the facilities are very nice.

Friendly helpful owners and staff. Excellent food and very reasonable price for non-included drinks. Two very nice baths for guests. Exceptionally spacious and comfortable room. Great location for visiting all the publicly accessible onsen facilities in the town.
