Eighteen21 Houses - Quinta Velha

It is a lovely property. Our room consisted of two bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs in the house. The house is lovely and it was comfortable. The ride there was confusing due to the area and popularity of attractions at the top of the mountain. There was ample parking at the property and they were kind enough to allow us to park after checkout. We took a path down to Quinta de Regaleira. It was a lovely little hike that we enjoyed. We are not fit and it was fine. We did decide to Uber back because it was raining. Breakfast was limited but nice. There are two dogs in residence and they added to the charm.

If you're going to Sintra, this is the place to stay. The grounds are green and quiet, far from the crowds in the old town, but just a short walk through the woods away. Lovely breakfast and kind staff made for a great stay.

We liked this part, but if you want to walk to town it requires a bit of strength for the uphill walk back. But you can also take a bus if you prefer.

Our host Carina showed us the most fantastic time ever . She took care of all of our needs, from dinner reservations to making sure that we knew where to go to see the sights of Sintra. Our trip there was nothing short of amazing. All thanks to Carina and her great service and most of all her sincere desire to make sure that we saw everything that we needed to see and had a great time in Sintra. I highly recommend Quint Velha anytime you're in Sintra. It is up in a beautiful area. It is close to Pena Palace and the Moorish Castle and you can actually see them both from out from the room we stayed in. Away from the busy city and all the craziness. It is up in the hills on a fantastic piece of property .The beautiful location and tranquil, peaceful location make staying here a complete no brainer. Do yourself a favor and book Quinta Velha on your next visit to Sintra. You will not regret it.

El desayuno fue uno de los puntos más altos de nuestra estadía aquí. Todos fresco y mucha variedad. La ubicación no es tan cómoda, se encuentra lejos del centro y el tránsito en Sintra para los lugares turísticos es un caos. La habitación tenía un sensor de movimiento en la entrada muy sensible y con una luz muy fuerte, no permitía mantener las puertas abiertas sin tener la luz prendiéndose a cada momento, esto fue un poco incómodo. Al preguntar por esto, nos ofrecieron cambiar de habitación pero ya era muy tarde así que preferimos quedarnos donde estábamos. Carina fue muy amable y atenta y siempre estuvo disponible para ayudarnos. La casa es bellísima y estoy segura que en verano debe ser aún mejor alojarse aquí, considerando los espacios exteriores y la piscina.

Away from the city center at the National Parc I felt as if we stepped back in time yet our chalet was all modern and so comfortable and a great location to get to the sites.

Hard to get hot water in the top room

The place is magical: great garden surrounding a nice house. Carina was the perfect host: nice and welcoming and gave us a lot of advices regarding Sintra. We will definitely come back to explore more of beautiful Sintra.
