Alma Boutique Hotel

We liked everything about our stay: very friendly staff, great location, beautiful and big rooms. It was very clean and well kept everywhere. A special shoutout to the wonderful espresso! I can only recommend this hotel.

Just a small thing: rhe trip to Jozani forest that we booked through the hotel was way too expesive for what we hqve fot. A one hour « guided » tour and the taxi ride to the forest and back to the hotel for 110 USD was definitely paid too much.

The rooms are nice, big and tidy, the hotel staff is friendly.

A nightmare journey. On the second night of our stay, we were ware a robbery. A little after 3:00 a.m., the thieves entered the room, where we were sleeping at the time, and stole all our cash and cell phones. It's strange to us that we didn't hear anything, and they opened the safe, which we are 99% sure we locked, and searched all our goods, things and bags. Which must have gone on for a while, and it couldn't have been silent. We can assume that we were stunned. To this day, we have not received any minutes. It's not that we lost our property, but we are shocked by something that has never happened to us anywhere in the world, and we travel a lot. Our vacation and confidence in our safety inside the hotel room have been completely ruined. Even today, we are in a state of stress after a traumatic event during stay. As for the the hotel's location is not the happiest because it is located in the middle between two larger villages, which are quite far away on foot by beach. There are free hotel bicycles, of which we saw a total of 5, but all of them are mostly unusable. We managed to find 2 bicycles on site, somewhat usable, but they can't change all the gears, the seat height can't be adjusted, the pedals are loose, there's only one brake that barely works... The rooms are nice, big and tidy, the hotel staff is friendly. We have to say that we have never stayed in a 5 star hotel anywhere in the world with a smaller selection of food. Breakfast is all about ordering all kinds of eggs. For lunch you can get overpriced sandwiches or hamburgers with fries on the beach. Dinners were reduced to a choice of 3 courses starters dessert, the same every day. Of those 3 courses you will probably like one, maybe two dishes, and no matter how good it is, you won't be able to enjoy it every day for the rest of your summer vacation.

This small hotel is beautiful. The rooms are wonderful and very well stocked with all you need. The staff are very helpful and all spoke very good English. The food was amazing and very tasty, good selection of veggie stuff for the wife too. Overall just a great stay.

Beautifully designed hotel right on a great stretch of beach which felt both private yet also incredibly accessible and easily connected to other areas and tourist attractions. Breakfast was a combination of buffet and a la carte options made fresh to order, and overall the breakfasts we ate were good with lots of options. Dinner was included in our package, and the food was really fantastic - lots of fresh fish and clearly high quality ingredients. Staff were very friendly and accommodating with every one of our requests - they were clearly invested in ensuring we had the best stay with them - the charming Italian manager made a point of stopping by our table each day to greet us and check in, which added to a lovely personal quality. Rooms are well designed - we particularly loved the second room we upgraded to which was huge, very private, and had stunning amenities including a large beautiful bathtub perfect for our honeymoon trip! The hotel has its own dhow boat which is an unmissable activity to do while staying at Alma. There are also great restaurants nearby that you can walk along the beach to for lunches. Overall we loved our stay here, and will certainly be recommending to others.

We probably would have liked a bit more variation in the menu, particularly for dinner, as we were there for a longer stay and had largely exhausted the food options by our last night. Although staff were lovely and so friendly, the grasp of English was somewhat variable which sometimes meant things were lost in translation. Some of the pricing felt considerably higher than expected - for example, wine and drinks at the hotel restaurant were very expensive, as were lunch item menus (calamari and chips for $22) and quotes for taxis to/from the local towns.

Perfection from a boutique hotel, only fifteen rooms and we felt like home. Breakfast, dinner, cleaning of the beach, as well as the hotel director, perfection and thanks to everyone, especially the sisters at the reception

The hotel is perfect, and I especially single out the director and the sisters at the reception, as well as all the staff. Breakfast and dinner are perfect, the beach is beautiful, and the excursions are incredible.
