Urbana Hotel

I stayed at Urbana Hotel in San Juan, PR for a business trip and had one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. For over four days, there was no hot water in my room and no room service. I reported the issue to the staff several times and was only given excuses. Meanwhile, other guests confirmed they did have hot water, which made the situation even more upsetting. As a guest of African ancestry, I couldn’t help but wonder if I was being treated differently — and that possibility is incredibly disturbing. Housekeeping was also a major issue: my linens and towels were never replaced, and I had to change them myself. Attempts to speak with a manager went nowhere — apparently, no one in charge was available during my entire stay. Communication was handled mostly through copy-pasted WhatsApp messages. On top of all that, there’s a nightclub nearby that plays loud music late into the night, making it difficult to sleep. What’s worse, other reviewers have mentioned this in the past, and the hotel has denied its existence — which is simply not true. The noise is very real, and the hotel is being dishonest by pretending it’s not a problem. I gave Urbana Hotel multiple chances to resolve these issues, and nothing was done. The room service never came to clean even after I was told they received my request. If you value comfort, honesty, and basic hospitality standards, avoid this hotel. There are far better options in San Juan.

Very clean quiet staff is awesome and very accommodating with your needs. Location is great walking distance to old San Juan will definitely stay there again when in Puerto Rico. Thank you for the great hospitality.🙏

i like that the property was close to SJ & beaches. amenities were very limited and i had to call and ask for basics to be brought such as a hair dryer & steamer. hot water went out on the last day of our trip, overall a mediocre experience

The location was perfect but the room was soo small. No room for anything. Not even a counter to put your toothbrush on. The photo advertised a balcony and a desk and our room had neither.

Cute tiny rooms good for two people only

We stayed down the street from checkin. There is a restaurant right next door for food and dancing. We felt very safe and secure in the area. I didn't like that the ground was tileless and very cold so I had to wear shoes. Staff were friendly and very helpful

i got the hotel becuase it siad it had an elevator when i got there they told me that the elevator was not working they coudhave let me know that

LOVE this place. Super nice staff and very quaint spot. All the local bars and restaurants are in walking distance and everyone is extremely kind and welcoming. Definitely would come back again.
