The lodge was very basic and bare minimum standards. The cutlery was dirty, there were dog hairs all over. No spare towels. No slip mat on the decking for when you came out of the hot tub. No privacy as the gate was broken. O entertainment and the on site pub closed really early.

The property was perfect for a quiet weekend away and to relax from normal life. Staff were warm and welcoming and could have a laugh. Any issues Gary was happy to help.

The property was great, a few more kitchen essentials like a frying pan would have been great.

The location is very much out in the open and in the middle of no where, we found this very nice to be away from the busy and loud life back home

No WiFi, TVs didn’t work, we paid for a nice big lodge and wasn’t told it wasn’t in a stay-able state until we got there. The beds was like sleeping on springs. The lodge we ended up staying in had bits of flooring missing holes in the doors. We stayed here 2 years ago and it was perfect this is why we chose it for an early honeymoon stay and this time round it was shocking! We ended up leaving the 3rd day into our 5 day stay. Upon complaining to booking about the incident the owner refused to give any sort of compensation. It’s a real shame as we have always told people what a nice place this is but I can hand on heart say we definitely won’t ever be staying here again!

This could be a much better experience if the lodges were better maintained

Beautiful lodges & great hot tub

The mattresses on the beds, they were soooo…. Uncomfortable. You had springs in your back in ya side, you could even feel the metal bar on the bed base through the mattress, never slept on a mattress so bad tbh. & it’s a shame

Absolutely amazing 2 night short brake for our family. Cabin was clean, warm and ready for our arrival. It had all the necessary towels, blankets, cutlery and everything else. TV was working fine. Hot tub was perfect and hot as it's suppose to be. Plus they added some willow screens for privacy which is great improvement. For the price we paid you couldn't ask for more. Location is remote and sometime wifi reception is not ideal, but that is the point of hideaway break to escape from city chaos, traffic madness and work and to sink into the calmness and relaxation. It became our tradition to visit here every year and will definitely come back again.
