Houseboat Moon of Kashmir

Location is on quiet side of the lake. The room itself was ok, no view but you can go upper deck or balcony (common area) to relax. Lucky the driver who drove us to Leh is proficient and professional.

Gulzar Seth (The owner) didn't deliver what he promised. We bought package tour for sightseeing AND Shakira cruise for first day, he kept us waiting until end of day and we only had Shakira ride, no other sightseeing as we expected. We arrived the houseboat around 8am-ish, hoping to have breakfast and out for sightseeings but he kept saying relax, don't worry. Understood his sister was getting engaged in the following couple days and he must be busy but our program should be assigned to someone else to make it happen, so we wasted the whole day. If his staff didn't ask us what our plans are (because he saw us hanging around the balcony all day), we would have missed the Shakira ride too. Gulza also tried to keep us there for extra nights in order to leave to Leh with another group of 3 people (while we booked the car for private ride for 3 of us), claiming if it's raining, the taxi won't take us to Leh due to landslide at some passes. When asked if it doesn't rain, then we can go? He offered some other plans which still require us to stay overnight there. We had to insist on our plan and check out the following morning, turned out no single raindrops but sunny all the way to Leh...

service and facility was good

not treating that well because of only one night booking.

The location is little backyard but hospitality is awesome and breakfast was yummy

I like hospitality and the landscape in front of it

the boat house design

all was good but we forget our charger there and the owner strictly said we dont have your charger. Owner is greedy person pushes you to buy his packege for tour.
