Mountainview Makarora Accommodation

Lovely room: clean, excellent condition, great view. Exactly what we needed at the end of long day. Five minutes from the accommodation is a very nice walking path in the woods. The owner was very responsive to requests.

The room is on the small size. There are about 10 steps to reach it so if you have a lot of luggage, be aware

Lovely situation. Quiet and enjoyed the view and native birds.

The guest facilities are located behind the main house on a hill surrounded by rainforest and with a view of the mountains. There is a 3 km walking trail through the bush at the end of the driveway. Also nearby a restaurant with some of the best freshly baked goods and meat pies we've ever had. The owner was very accommodating, letting us use her freezer for our ice and making sure we had fresh milk each day.

If the guests next door are inclined to be noisy, you may hear them. Ours were up and tramping round the deck in the wee hours.
