Mountainview Makarora Accommodation

Great stopover on our roadtrip. Clean comfortable and warm! Very friendly host.

Lovely host and accommodation. It had a real home-like feel to it and everything was clearly well looked after.

Space was a bit tight so it was a bit of a juggle with 3 of us in the small space.

Wonderful location, nestled into the side of a mountain, with lovely views. Our hostess met us, got us some milk and showed us to our accomadation. She answered our questions. The room was compact, but had everything we needed for our short stay.

The floor was a little creaky and we didn't want to disturb other guests.

Loved the location, very quiet, clean room, friendly owner.. wish I could stay longer than just one night.

A glimpse of the mountains was nice

There was no TV!! We do need a TV to wind down at the end of the day ! There were no flyscreens on the windows so could not open them for ventilation so the small room became a hot box, very uncomfortable to sleep. Also there was a squirty (air freshner)! up on the wall that squirted every half hour, and being a light sleeper, couldn't sleep well atall with this . Also a shame that the owners house is right in front of the unit so blocks out 80% of the view of the mountains. Also take food with you as the only place that do dinners was the pub a few minutes away and it is not recommended

Clean Room. Very comfortable bed. Great shower. Our expectations were met by the friendly owners where one could see the care and effort they have put into their accommodation.
