Royal Host Motel

The location was fine. My room was quiet and spotless, and I felt safe while there. Were I to ever have any issues, I am more than certain that the onsite manager would spare no effort to accommodate my needs.

Clean, everything worked. The owner actually is on-site, friendly, competent. Everything is first floor so no stairs to climb.

Bath towels were at the lower end of acceptable. The seating was not suitable for working on a laptop computer, even with my portable lumbar support cushion. For one night with only a few hours work, it was acceptable.

More facilities for handicapped peeps

The host was very friendly and accommodating—she added extra towels to our room even before we arrived since there were many of us. The lobby was homey and welcoming, with a lot of personal touches that helped us feel like we were people interacting, rather than an impersonal customer and business.

There wasn’t much I didn’t like, because it was exactly what we needed for a quick overnight during our long road-trip. For the price, it met that need perfectly.

Excellent stay. Nice place. Great staff. They have really good ratings for a reason. If you want a corporate hotel, this is not for you. But if you want an old school Motel, this is the place. Great area, no long term guests and a good area. Highly recommend.

Ok, only because this rating program is making me say something negative. I didn't like the TV remote control. But that is probably more on me than on the Motel. Some old dogs can't learn new tricks.

This motel is impeccably clean! Probably the cleanest motel I’ve ever stayed at—even the grout in the shower is super white! The rooms are large and they have a charming vintage feel throughout, including the old vintage tile in the bathroom. The staff are super friendly and the bed was comfortable.

I think the provided toiletries could use an upgrade but I always travel with my own so it wasn’t an issue.
