Kadowakikan

Such an amazing experience staying at Kadowakikan. The host Yasuo is so kind and lovely to deal with and he goes out of his way to make sure you are having a great time. The building is old but has such a beautiful charm to it. We genuinely loved our stay and would happily stay there again when visiting nozawa.

Nothing at all. It has shared bathrooms but this is obvious when booking and totally fine.

On the East side, close to the shuttle bus stop, the Swiss bakery and an onsen. Had free parking. Breakfast was good, eggs and bacon, a yogurt, fruit and a croissant. Cold cereal available. Drip coffee was quality. Breakfast was worth the 1000yen. Ski room and warm boot room in the basement were appreciated. Onsen was small but was clean and 41C. Room was Tatami style, comfortable. Owner was very helpful and nice. A reasonable value in a ski town.

Shared bathroom was very clean, but had an odd smell - disinfectant?

Owner went out of his way to be helpful. Private onsen is HOT and nice. Breakfast totally great. Incredible value for Nozawa. A bit farther (10-15m walk) from the mountain and the city if that's critical, but close to some onsen and restaurants. Uber is now in the town in Winter which makes the commute simple. Don't expect luxury, but super convenient and again excellent value.

Very cute lodge. Super helpful owner, walking distance to a chair lift. Recommend

NOT negatives just be aware it’s shared bathroom and you have to shower at the osnen downstairs

In-house Onsen, super comfortable tatami bed and awesome view from room.
