Amazing hotel with a wonderful owner! The customer service is top-notch, and the host speaks fluent English. We really appreciated the daily updates from the owner on the lift status of Nozawa Onsen mountain. The hotel is a 5 minute walk to a chairlift that links you to the main Nagasaka Gondola or you can take the free village shuttle from the bus stop 1 minute down the road. The hotel's onsen was amazing, the daily breakfast was great and overall a very welcoming atmosphere. We will definitely be back!

The hotel has roughly 30 rooms and there are only 4 shared showers for males and 4 shared showers for females in the onsen. During busy periods it can be a little crowded and difficult to co-ordinate your ablution timing in the evening with the other guests. The hotel is located about 1 km from the main town centre which is about a 10 minute walk or you can take the village shuttle.

Tout était parfait ! Un accueil personnalisé en dehors des horaires prévus, l'hôte est venu nous récupérer à l'arrêt de bus tard le soir. La chambre est classique des logements à nozawa onsen avec une jolie vue sur la montagne. Petit onsen bien pratique, local à ski chauffé, petit déjeuner succulent et copieux avant de s'elancer sur les pistes de ski accessibles très facilement. Les hôtes sont au petit soin ce qui est vraiment la cerise sur le gâteau !

Yasuo is an excellent host and we loved staying at Kadowakikan. To start, he picked us up from the bus station, drove us to the resort the first morning with all our gear and baby, helped send our gear via Yamato and overall helped us with every request. The view from the room was amazing. Tea and snacks refreshed daily. Breakfast was quirky and plentiful. Onsite onsen was really nice and more suitable temperature than the public onsen nearby (so so hot). Bedding was comfortable, room temp was great.

Nothing, we loved everything about our stay here.

Nous avons passé un superbe long séjour à Kadowakikan. Kadowakikan est une auberge traditionnelle japonsaise familiale avec tout le confort moderne (chauffage programmable, aircon, etc). Des décennies de saison de ski ont optimisé l’endroit pour profiter du ski dans les meilleurs conditions. Le propriétaire Kadowakisan est d’une grande gentillesse et aide beaucoup pour tous les aspects pratique. Le langage n’est pas une barrière, il parle bien anglais et il a toujours son téléphone pour traduire. Il envoyait des messages en français dans la sono de l’hôtel pour nous. Et aussi jingle bells le jour de Noël. L’ensemble du staff est adorable. Je conseille grandement le restaurant qui était un festin de cuisine japonaise traditionnelle. Nous avions notre routine chaque jour pour notre journée de ski. Kadowakikan est placé stratégiquement: le télésiège est à 5 minutes ou le bus shuttle encore plus proche. Le village est à 10minutes à pied. Nous aimerions revenir à Kadowakikan!
