Villaggio Idra residence

The view, very nice and clean pool, lots of grass and a playground, really friendly owners!! Felt at home right away!

We can only recommend this accommodation in Gargano. The accommodation (villa type A) was clean, free of mould (which many apartments in the Mediterranean suffer from and we Central Europeans are quite sensitive to it) and spacious enough. It is a smaller resort so it is not crowded or anonymous, instead there was a family atmosphere. The grounds also have a beautifully maintained English lawn and offer plenty of shade from the trees. Virtually the entire site (given its hilltop location and gently sloping terrain) also has a glorious seaview, and you can see the town of Vieste in the distance, where there are plenty of restaurants and shops. There is a huge swimming pool on the premises which is lovely to swim in. I estimate it to be approx. 25 metres in length. Although the owners require a swimming cap (which we are not quite used to), they also immediately offer a cheap solution at the poolside kiosk for those who didn't count on it before arrival (caps for 1 Euro). The poolside kiosk also offers small snacks, drinks and popsicles at very reasonable prices (e.g. 5 Euros for an Aperol spritz). There are plenty of beaches and places to eat, shop etc. in the adjacent area. This accommodation also includes a free use of the beach service at Molinella beach. However, we prefer to be able to try more beaches, so we only used this service sporadically. It is possible to communicate with the owners quite well in English, although most of the tourists here (at least during our stay) were from Italy. The only negative about the whole stay was the inferior kitchen equipment (there was e.g. only one knife, no coffee maker, etc.) and also the lack of basic cleaning products. However, if you plan for this and bring these things with you or buy them locally, you can cope with it. Good quality at a reasonable price, we can only recommend.

This is really a great holiday Parc, Very big apartment, nice view at the sea, Very quiet for a good night sleep. The hosts are so sympathetic and friendly! And also near to the beautiful old center of Vieste. And close to the beach Grazie!

The hosts are amazing. The place is superb. Very clean. Nice pool with bar is also there. Very close to Vieste.

On request everything will be provided, but it is good to have more equipment - like plates and coffee maker.

Villaggio Idra is a gem in Vieste! We loved everything about this place. The location is great, pool incredible and our accommodation was spacious as well as comfortable. The owners are friendly and helpful.

My fiancé and I stayed here for 2 nights and had a wonderful, relaxing stay. The rooms are very spacious and clean and the owners were so welcoming and helpful. It was peaceful and quiet with a clean and big pool. The room had a fridge and cooking utensils. You can also do a BBQ. Would definitely stay here again. You’ll need a car to get around.

We were surprised by the mint condition and the spaciousness of our apartment as well as the whole grounds. One thing we overlooked though was that the location is actually a 10-minute walk from the nearest beach and you really need a car to do most things. So next time we might go for something located more centrally or closely to the beach. This is not the fault of the villagio, of course.
