The property was nice had everything we needed for a couple of nights away

The only thing was the microwave didn’t seem to work maybe it was just me but tried a lot of different buttons to make it work but didn’t seem to heat anything up

Goed uitgeruste caravan, prima bed, op een groot vakantiepark dat opgedeeld is in aparte eenheden. Fijne startplek voor de Tarkatrail, te beginnen bij Bideford.

Caravan is wat gedateerd, maar alles functioneert.

"Pleasant, safe and cheap stay in north Devon"

8.0

Quiet time of year (a random Monday in June for a couple with a newborn) meant the park felt peaceful. The property was simple but pleasant enough. We knew it was going to be a bit old and battered but for the price that is more than acceptable! We booked for the facilities (pool) but didn’t end up using as that also seemed a bit old and battered for baby’s first swim, but I’m sure great for toddlers and above. The playpark looks great for older children - large and new looking. We didn’t use the bar area but those using it seemed to enjoy. Lovely location and views from the park but need a car for surroundings. We walked down to Buck’s Mills with baby in sling- beautiful but need to be fit as very steep and longer than it looks.

Bring blankets to keep cosy on sofa Directions for arrival are wrong- the sign is Brackenwood not Brackenhurst

the caravan was very comfortable and nicely furnished. It had everything we need that made out stay very comfortable.

microwave did not heat up and pots and pans need replacement as food sticks to them but other than that it was perfect!

Peace and quiet. Accessible to near by coastal places.

I couldn't walk to the beach or seaside like it said in booking.com.

"Exceptional"

10.0

We stayed at 32 Parklands on a Parkdean Resorts site and overall had a really positive experience for the price. The caravan was clean, warm, and fully functional, with excellent heating and everything working as expected (TV, lighting, shower). There were also some unexpected extras like a really good iron. The cleanliness stood out. The caravan is dog-friendly, and as my eldest is severely asthmatic, I was concerned, but he didn’t need his inhaler at all, which was very reassuring. The park was quiet as we visited out of season, which suited us. Staff were friendly, welcoming, and engaging with children. The caravan was well located near parking, which made access much easier, especially as my eldest has mobility difficulties. The views from the site are beautiful, and there are plenty of activities available for younger children. We also visited Westward Ho!, which is about a 10-minute easy drive and well worth it for the beach and local area.

The park is on a steep hill, which may be difficult for those with mobility issues. Although this was manageable due to the caravan’s location near the parking, we weren't there to drink heavily. My eldest has mobility issues, and it was easy enough to jump in the car. The sofa bed was as expected, like most, not particularly comfortable. I had intended for a teenager to sleep on it. Unfortunately, he struggled too much and needed his own space, 100& wouldn't recommend any sofa bed for anyone with back issues, I was a little embarrassed as there was no Hoover available in the caravan, which would have been helpful for a quick clean before leaving. Activity passes are an additional cost (around £18 per person) and should be factored in, as they aren’t included in the booking if you intend to use the facilities. Evening entertainment was limited due to being off-season, and the swimming pool is quite dated, although still functional, but we were very happy with everything.
