Yudanaka Tawaraya Ryokan

The staff was extremely helpful. Came out to help with parking and walked us around the entire hotel explaining things. The private and mens/womens only onsen was wonderful. It is very traditional Japanese from the rooms and breakfast so be prepared. We loved it. The Snow Monkey park is very close but get there by 10 am when the staff whistles for the monkeys and before the crowds get too much.

Un Ryokan (auberge traditionnelle) centrée sur l’expérience incontournable sur Onsen. Tombez vos hardes (probablement odorantes) de touriste et enfilez votre Yukata immaculé (abusivement appelé "kimono") pour entrer dans un autre monde ! C'est ce que je recherchais dans cet établissement et je n'ai pas été déçu ! Il y a 2 Onsen, un intérieur et un autre extérieur, tous-deux accessibles entre 15h et 9h. Oui, l'on peut s'y baigner toute la nuit ! Des créneaux hommes/femmes/mixtes sont organisés rigoureusement et il est possible de privatiser le Onsen extérieur pour une demie-heure. Ce dernier est superbe ! La chambre est traditionnelle avec tatamis et futon. C'est beau et très confortable. Le petit déjeuner traditionnel est excellent ! De nombreux (et délicieux) restaurants sont accessibles à pied sur Yudanaka. L'auberge propose sur réservation anticipée un repas sur place de style Kaseiki. Foncez, car il est exceptionnel ! L’accueil du Ryokan est fort sympathique et efficace. C'est à 5 minutes à pied de la gare de train et bus. Beaucoup de sites de randonnée en montagne accessibles par bus. N'oubliez-pas votre clochette pour éloigner les ours ! Le Onsen des singes, c'est également à un quart d'heure de bus. Se promener au milieu des singes en train de se relaxer, chamailler, épouiller ou baigner est une expérience unique !

Rien. J'aimerais bien y retourner un jour pour un nouveau trip Onsen/Rando/Gastro... "I'll be back!" ;)

Un ryokan authentique et familial, tout était bien parfait le confort des futons le personnel le petit dej. Un Lawson a 5mn Le ++ pouvoir réserver gratuitement 30mn de privatisation du onsen extérieur (ça suffit amplement) je conseille vraiment si de passage dans la région cela permets de couper de l’agitation et revenir à l’authenticité du Japon

Séjour très agréable dans ce ryokan. Accueil chaleureux, chambre très spacieuse, parking disponible, petit-déjeuner japonais délicieux, onsens intérieur et extérieur à disposition (séparé ou mixte ou privatif selon les horaires).

The staff was exceptional. We wanted to visit the monkey park and after visiting they picked us up when we didn’t know how to return. They were interested is sharing their culture with us. They were incredibly helpful in every way. I cannot recommend the property and especially the family highly enough.
