We really appreciated the warm welcome from Owner Kobayashi who collected us from Yudanaka station even though we arrived slightly early, kindly drove us all the way to the snow monkey park and stored our luggage until we returned! Highly recommend the kaiseki dinner, the most flavoursome and delicious meal with multiple courses all carefully prepared and beautifully presented! And the breakfast was just as delicious. Lovely private shower and onsen facility (two private onsens available) and they have everything you need. Room was comfortable and spotlessly clean! Thank you!

Dinner - Great, Large Onsen - Great, Small Onsen - To Hot!!, Breakfast - Great! The room was a little cold because the oil heater was turned off and not turned back on. Otherwise- Great

Small Onsen to hot to use, Oil heater was turned off, and not turned back on, so the room got cold.

Our stay was made so special by the beautifully maintained building, generous and welcoming owners, and delicious Japanese food. The owners did everything to help our stay be easy and convenient, traveling with two young children. We also thoroughly enjoyed our daily family onsen experience after big days of sightseeing and skiing. We’re so grateful for our experience here, thank you!

We were picked up at the train station, driven straight to the entrance of the Snow Monkey Park and our luggage was waiting for us in our room when we returned. Delightful rooms and the amenities are great! We all had kimonos in our rooms which was cute. Yummy and plentiful breakfasts. It is about a 10-15 minute walk uphill to the train station but the owner can often drive you. The Shiga Onsens are over 3km away, but the bath in the guesthouse was so nice that we didn't feel the need to go, and it has a massage chair!

The only minor issue we had was with the hardness of the futons. But we asked for extra mattresses and pillows and they set them up for us, after that we slept great

Kobayashi San e signora ci hanno accolto benissimo, abbiamo potuto vivere un'esperienza meravigliosa grazie a loro. Consiglio a tutti di provare la cena, va prenotata in anticipo, ma è veramente squisita. Il quid in più sono i due onsen privati, da provare alle 6:30 di mattina per affrontare la giornata al meglio. Sono disponibili gli Yukata per entrare ancora di più nella tradizione. Inoltre vogliamo ringraziare ancora Kobayashi San per averci accompagnato davanti all'ingresso dello Snow Monkey Park.

Fantastic dinner and breakfast, plus the hosts were incredibly nice and helpful. The option to use the onsen privately was amazing.

La persona encargada nos dio un recibimiento espectacular, muy cálida, todas las indicaciones muy claras, la habitación estaba limpia, las amenidades también muy limpias y cómodas. El desayuno fue delicioso y muy al estilo de un Ryokan, definitivamente vivimos la experiencia al máximo🙏🏻❤️ El onsen fue muy relajante y limpio, tenía de todo, volvería para estar más noches y disfrutar de sus comodidades, muchas gracias por ser el personal tan amable y cálido ✨ A demás muy amable el personal que nos ofreció transporte a la estación más cercana para seguir nuestra aventura🙏🏻
