Te Tiro Accommodation

The views were stunning!! And we had everything we needed provided to us for a comfortable stay. The surrounding farm is great for small adventures with the kids. Angus and Rachel were so accommodating and made us feel welcome at their place.

Angus’s cottage was perfect and had everything we needed for our short stay. The kids loved the upstairs beds and our bed was comfy and warm. The kitchenette had everything we needed including a generous continental breakfast. Stunning views and extra fun exploring the farm and surrounds including a mini glow worm grotto. Angus’s communication was outstanding and came with personal recommendations for activities and eateries.

There was nothing we could fault with the property or amenities. We had poor weather and while it didn’t stop us doing all our activities the high location was quite exposed and the wind and rain quite gnarly so was a little loud at night but can’t be controlled so not a negative on the property itself just something to be aware of if you are a light sleeper.

Location, nice cottage.

stunning view on the countryside, nice set up on a farm and in between a little forest with great atmosphere, super friendly and welcoming host, good amenities! Close to Waitomo Caves!

Unfortunately the tent was smelly, the furniture looked a bit out-dated, zip hard to close, ‚breakfast provided’ = a small selection of dairy products, cereals, some bread put in the fridge. For 400 NZD per night unfortunately (despite the scenic views, the forest and the friendly host) I would overall say it was a bit overpriced for what is offered

Magnificent views amongst the native vegetation, glow worms and Dabchick pond. The accommodation is simple, clean and minimalist, with very friendly hosts.

If you're looking for luxury, wifi, A/C and local shops then this isn't for you. This is a working farm with a few very well maintained simple cabins.
